Chapter 52- Oh no

NAOMI's POV:

So I've been with Marshall for over a month now...things are going perfect! We have our small fight but always end up having a make up sex. He's so busy lately and I'm so busy! We haven't seen each other for almost 2 weeks, it sucks but I have to understand that that's just how it's going to be. Right now I'm at my office looking through some papers trying to find some worthy clients for the company, but then I hear a nock on the door

"Come in" I said and I see my assistant coming. Yeah that's right I'm no longer an assistant I have my own assistant.

"Hey miss miller" she said and closed the door behind you.

"Yes maya?"

"I know you don't like those short announcements but you need to fly out to New York in two days" she told me and I let out a frustrated sigh

"What for?" I asked and I know she can feel my irritation

"The customers we sighed last month are ready for the full presentation of the Product and they said it was only suppose to be next month but the things speed up and they say the sooner the Better" she said. If Is it was just some client I wouldn't fly but it's an important meeting and I have to be there!

"But what about all the paper work?!" I said frustrated cause I need to get them done by tomorrow

"The boss said you need to finish them before you take off to New York" she said and I sigh

"Ok then book me a flight at 6am" I told her and she nodded and left the room. It sucks cause Marshall and I have planes for tonight. I need to call him.

"Hey baby" I hear a soft bit in the back ground

"Hey" I said and sighed

"Where are you?" He asked

"Still at the office"

"Oh I'm just at home mixing some bits in the studio" he said

"That's nice" and I smiled but sighed again

"Everything is a'ight?" He asked

"Baby I can't come to you today" i said to him straight

"The fuck? why?" Damn I knew he gonna be pissed

"Work thing" i said

"but I didn't see you for 2 week straight!"

"I know I know thrust me there's nothing I want more than be with you for the rest of the weekend but I have a really important meeting in two days and I need to fly out to New York and my boss told me I can't take off to New York before I'm done with my paper work" i said

"New York? For how long" he asked completely angry

"One night. I'm off at Tuesday and in the morning we have the meeting, then I guess there's gonna be a party and I'm flying back to Detroit the next day" I said to him

"Are you for real right now?" He sounds pissed

"Unfortunately yes" I say with a sigh

"So why can't your come at least be with me before you leave?" He asked

"I have so much paper work that needs to be done marshall I can't this weekend I'm sorry" I said

"Can't you ask your boss to let you off early?" It makes me sad that he's trying to find ways to see me even tho I can't..
