henderson residence - old mills' hill
they were now all in dustin's living room, prepping the surprise.
"and one for you." mike handed tilly the newly bought kazoo.
"and what is this?" she raised her eyebrow.
"it's a kazoo," mike explained, "you blow it."
"why?"
he shrugged, "it makes a noise. i got it at the party store."
"alright." tilly placed it in her shorts, "calm down."
"this is gold leader, returning to base. do you copy? over." mike's supercomm went off.
"he's in range." lucas smirked.
"this is gold leader, returning to base. do you copy? over." it repeated.
"come on dustin." a different voice groaned.
"someone turn that thing off." mike groaned.
"you do it!" tilly shot back.
"i repeat: this is gold leader, returning to base with aw. do you copy? over."
"fine!" mike got up and turned it off.
"is the poster ready?" max asked will and tilly.
"yep." will nodded as he held it up.
"can you two put it up?" lucas suggested.
"sure." tilly nodded, she took picked up the fresh poster and stood in front of the wall.
"short people problems?" mike mocked her, despite her being only a few inches smaller than him.
"can it." she rolled her eyes, "will? a boost please?"
"sure." will walked over to her and cupped his hands.
"thanks." tilly smiled at him as she carefully stepped on them.
"hey," mike whispered to el, "can you hold her up?"
el sceptically nodded and put her arm out, keeping tilly up straight.
"why didn't you just use a chair?" lucas asked as he handed her tape and scissors.
"this is more fun." tilly told him as she worked on one side, "i live on the thrill side of life."
"hopefully she falls." mike commented.
"i do not like you."
el gave him a look, he had just asked her to keep her up. mike put a finger to his lips, not wanting anyone to know he secretly cared for her.
