The loud chatter from the living room resonated off from the hallways of the dorm. The sound of his friend's voice laughing and talking made him feel warm and fuzzy; he was home, finally. Dropping his shoes over the shoe rack just beside their door, Jake immediately proceeded in the living room where he was greeted with such a beautiful sight, for him at least.

His friends were all scattered on the floor of the large space that their living room has provided, snacks and drinks were neatly placed over a long table while a movie playing on the wall was projected by one of Jay's movie projectors and Sunghoon's laptop. They were watching Captain America: Civil War.

From the corner of the room, Kei was the one to spot the boy first. "Guys, Jake's home!" He yelled causing the other boys to look over the entry way of their living space.

Sunoo ran towards Jake, engulfing him in a hug and patting his back. "How was your flight hyung?" The younger one asked as he broke the embrace. The latter lightly shrugged, dropping his bag on the nearby wall. "It was good." He simply replied.

Jay and Heeseung also walked towards them, patting the new comer on the back comfortingly as they guided him towards a vacant spot of their gathered sleeping mats.

As they sat, the boy couldn't help but roam his eyes all around the place. Two people were missing and he was confused why. As far as he can remember, he had reminded the two that he will be back home today after a month of visiting his family back in Australia. But the two most important people to him were no where in sight.

As if on cue, Jay spoke, "Sunghoon and (Y/N) are in the kitchen." The other boy told him as the rest of their friends gathered around to finally watch the paused movie after the hugging and greeting the newcomer. Jake's brows furrowed. "Just the both of them?"Jay nodded, earning a little scoff from him.

"With how loud Sunoo was they'd probably come here by now."

The other boy adjusted the glasses that he wore, shrugging. "I don't know man, they've been there for quite a long time already."

Just as Jake opened his mouth to reply, two laughing voice from the hallways of the house snapped his attention away from Jay's. His eyes instantly fixated on the figures of two people walking in to the living room with nothing more but cola in their hands.

Jake couldn't help but give Sunghoon a little glare as he watched you laugh for something that he had said, eyes crinkling into two crescent moons to depict just how happy you were and slap Jake with that fact. The sight clenched his insides, making him feel a spark of faint jealousy in the pit of his stomach.

A can of soda blocked his sight away from you and Sunghoon temporarily. "These last few weeks, they've been going out without any of us, Just them two." Jay commented, Sunghoon earning another nasty glare from the Aussie as he took the can of soda out of Jay's grasp.

"They're friends, it's normal for the both of them to spend some time too." Although those words came out of his own mouth, Jake felt nothing but be discouraged. It almost felt like he poured salt over his open wound judging from how ironic it almost felt, those words coming from his own mouth. They were no words of reassurance but a cover to hide what he truly feels. He was a coward to even admit it.

"That was so stupid Sunghoon." Your voice caught his attention yet once again. It almost seemed as though you were the only one Jake could hear. He could hear the soft undertone in your voice despite the snarkiness it brought, as it drowned down the other speaking people inside the room. You were quite far from where he and Jay were seated, they were almost obscured by the shadows in the room, near by the murmurs of his friends and the background sounds of the movie but you were all that he could hear in the moment.
