Apparently time was getting reset back to the beginning of 2020 with each new timeline having it's own twist. I'd just be minding my own business or about to suddenly face death, and then *POOF*
I remember telling others that the previous timeline had a global pandemic at the first reset. It happened a few more times with a different ending and then I was back at the start. I eventually became self aware, and maybe I was beginning to have an existential crisis. Now I know how Homura Akemi feels, except she's reseting time intentionality. One thing I never found out though, was who was possibly controlling time?
God? Kronika? Homura? Someone else? No one knows... not even me.
