Ch.34 2nd Training Camp

Normal POV 

The next training camp will be held at Shiratorizawa which is convenient but they needed to clean a few classrooms and set up the nets in both of their gyms since the other schools would be sleeping their for 4 days

The Boys and the Girls dressed in their practice clothes when they greeted the other schools inside the Boys Gym. Fukurodani came in first with the Boys leading the Girls. Akari notice one boy out of the rest. His hair looks like an owl. He has golden eyes which Akari couldn't help but stare at him. 

The boy, looked at her, smiled and winked as he walked proudly into the gym. She then sees Suzuki and waves at her. Suzuki notices and nods to her. 

Fukurodani lines up next to Shiratorizawa as the Nekoma came in next. Akari notice this one tall guy with messy hair that sticks up in all angles. Did this guy just woke up? She thought. He smiled at her as she returned it. She then see Aimi-san from the previous training camp. And now, Itachiyama. Mako and Sakiko leads the girls in as they both wave at Akari who smiled widely. 

"Thank you all for attending." Coach Washijo clears his throat. "We would start after we settled our things. The Girls will lead you to their gym and we'll all be having practice matches against each other. On the last day, we will have a joint practice. Where the teams with the most wins will challenge each other and so on. Now, good luck." He nods to Coach Haku who gestures to the Girls who made the Girls teams follow to their respective classrooms and then to their gym. 

Akari waved goodbye to Wakatoshi who returned with a raise of his hand to her direction. He then turns to the Boy teams and helped them out with getting settled. 

Akari's POV

"Hey Akari!" Sakiko came up to her after they settled their bags. "Where are you sleeping?" I pointed to a 3 story building that has a small courtyard in front of it. She gapes at it. "So modern. Wish we had dorms." I chuckled softly as we arrived at our gym.

"It will be like the training camp at Fukurodani but the losing will sprint to one side of the gym to the other side." Coach Haku announced as we nod in understanding. "Now, let's play!"

Our first match is against Fukurodani. I only remember that Suzuki is like Yuna. And they don't do jump serves but I kept my mind open. As the set went by, we decided to try some of the other terminologies on offense. And I tried to serve with only my left hand because why not? Coach Haku said we'll be switching players in and out to get reps. I was fine with that. I wanted to cheer on my teammates as well. 

Even though we lost 25-23, the sprint was nothing. We do that when we play 6 on 6, or 2 on 2, or 3 on 3. After losing the first set, I decided to be more aggressive. Calling for every set. Getting as much reps of spiking I can get. A toss from Nakano is an opportunity for me to score a kill. I picture Itachiyama's, Nekoma's, and Fukurodani's blockers as Niyama. After this training camp, and the next 2 months, we'll be in the Miyagi Prefecture Qualifyers for Spring Nationals and since we were allowed to skip the Qualifying Rounds next week. 

After the practice matches, the sky was black as I went up to my dorm to shower. We as a team literally raced each other to our dorms. And to the cafeteria. I stopped at the doors dressed in my black practice shorts and maroon colored shirt. My hair is drying as I controlled my breathing. It looks like the Boys from Fukurodani, Nekoma, and Itachiyama are here as well as the Girls. 

We grabbed our food and we literally went everywhere. Mixed into the other teams. I looked around and Wakatoshi or the others aren't here yet. Then a tall guy that looks like an owl approached me and waves. 

"Hey, Hey, Hey!" He smiles widely as I couldn't help but smile back. 

"Hey, hey, hey." I replied as his eyes lit up.
