Upset ( Crutchie x Reader )

    You tore open a letter that was dropped at the Lodging House, it read;

    Dear y/n, By the time you are receiving this it will be too late. Despite what you may have thought your mother is alive. Well was alive, she contracted Typhoid. She has been fighting this illness for almost two months. She did not want to give up, but unfortunately her body gave up. Though she hasn't seen you since you were an infant, she wanted me, her doctor to write this letter for her. She wanted say how sorry she was for leaving you, she didn't want to put you through what she went through with her husband, your father. She wishes you a happy and healthy life, she also loved you very much. You read through the letter three times to make sure you had it right. You felt tears forming in your eyes.

"Evenin' Beautiful.. Wait, w-what's wrong?" Crutchie notices your expression.

"M-my mother past away" You say a bit shaken.

" I.. I thought she was dead.." Crutchie asks.

"Yeah, me too." You say handing Crutchie the letter. You watch him read it, letting a tear run down your cheek.

"Wow.. y/n I'm so sorry." He says seeing you are visibly upset.

"How can I have such strong feelings for this women? I never even met her? Why am I upset Crutchie?" You say letting a few more tears fall. Crutchie comes up behind you and hugs you.

"Y/n, you have every right to be upset. Whether you've met her or not, she's your mother." Crutchie turns you so you're facing him. You bury your head in his chest as you cry silent tears. He just holds you tight rubbing your back. Unfortunately these sweet moments are always cut short by someone. You heard the door open, you looked up at Crutchie who was shaking his head 'no' and mouthing something. You then heard the door shut and Crutchie kissed the top of your head.

"Who was that?" you ask.

" Just Jack, but it's ok. He can wait, you're way more important right now." Crutchie says. You smile and give him a kiss on the cheek. You stay hugging for a bit more, but no more tears. You finally let go, looking at Crutchie.

"You good now? It's good to just let it out sometimes." Crutchie states.

"When did you get so smart?" You asked.

"I learn from the best" He smiles. You shake your head sarcastically with a laugh. You both walk out of the room to see what everyone else is up to.
