"Are you coming to breakfast?" McKenna asked me, joining me on the sidewalk.

I nodded. "I just have to swing by the clinic right quick."

"Okay, I'll see you inside then."

I headed over to the clinic, where Nurse Addie was waiting for me.

"Good morning Lee," she said, with a bright smile.

"Morning," I said, leaning against the counter as she pulled out my pill box.

I popped open the Thursday morning, pausing as I saw a new pill in there.

"What's this?" I asked Nurse Addie, turning to face her.

"What's what dear?"

I pulled out the white and green pill. "This."

"Parker dropped that by last night."

I pulled my phone out of my pocket, calling Parker as I filled up a Dixie cup with water.

The phone stopped ringing, and there were a few moments of silence and rustling on the other end.

"Hello?" Parker's hoarse voice asked.

I'd woken him up.

"What's this new pill?" I asked him, before popping the rest of my pills in my mouth and swallowing them with a swig of water.

"What?"

"The white and green pill?"

"What time is it?"

"What is the new pill?" I repeated.

"Prozac," he informed me. "It's not new, you've taken it before. I just refilled the prescription."

"I don't need that."

"If you want to talk about it then I'd be happy to do that," Parker said, with a sigh. "But if you're going to shut me down then that's the end of the conversation because I'm not having it."

I hate it when Parker goes all guardian-status on me.

"I haven't taken that since rehab," I pointed out.

"I talked with your psychiatrist and-"

"Are you fucking kidding me?"

"Can we talk about this without you shutting me down every two seconds?" Parker demanded.

"Well you went and had another conversation about me without me so I don't really see the point. You already made the decision without me."

"It's not like that."

"It's exactly like that. It's always like that," I pointed out. "You decide what's best for me without even bothering to ask me."

"I said we could talk about it Lee, damn. And I would've included you in on the conversation, but you can't be bothered to pick up your phone and have a conversation with me these past few days so I had to make a decision here."

"Well I wonder why that is," I stated.

"You know what Lee? I just don't give a fuck right now. You want to call and wake me up to have an argument with me? That's fine. Take the pill, don't take the pill, your decision. And next time you want to be included in on a decision, pick up your phone."

I hung up my phone, shutting the top of my pill case as anger coursed through my body.

I wasn't naturally an angry person, and it took a lot for me to get angry.

But I was way past that at this point.

"Lee?" Nurse Addie called, as I brushed past her.

I skipped the cafeteria, heading down to the Art room.
