Bella:

The comfortable silence took over the remainder of the car ride.

He wanted to be with me.

It felt like a fever dream, no longer dreaming about what ifs and if only. He wanted me, and I'd just hope I'd be good enough. That in some twisted way I wouldn't screw it all up.

My anxiety was on edge, and the fact that he just confessed to wanting to be my boyfriend had me ablaze. I tried to steady my breathing as much as I could, my shaky hands clenched tightly in a fist. I wish I could just try to calm myself down for one second of the day.

As we approached Logan's house, his fingertips danced gently across my thighs. The intimate feeling had goosebumps coursing through my body. He shifted the engine into park and turned the car off. I followed him after he so kindly opened the door for me. I couldn't wait to enter Logan's warm house and beg him to light up the fireplace.

"Loggy-bear!!!" I heard a sing-song female voice call out in the distance as Logan slipped his keys into his pockets. I didn't miss the deep groan that echoed in him as Logan heard the voice. The sound of high heels approaching us echoed on the hardwood floors and appeared a woman.

She was at least six inches taller than me, with a model-esk body type, and silky long brown hair. She had tanned skin that glistened so heavenly in the dull light, and she had a grin-to-ear smile. The sight of her had my cheeks sizzling with warmth, as I couldn't help but compare myself to her beauty.

"Surprise Loggy-bear! We're here a day early. I just couldn't wait to see you and that new boo thing of yours!!" The women stepped over to us and engulfed Logan in a hug. Her eyes whipped around to me and she let out a loud squeal. "Bella!! Oh my goodness!" The women partially pushed Logan out of the way to come see me. She laid her hands on her hips and gazed at me up and down. "You're so beautiful, my brother did not do you justice! Well actually, he didn't tell me anything about you, you're a big mystery to all of us!!"

Oh, this is Logan's sister!

"Kendall," Logan said in a low voice, and she turned his attention back to him.

Kendall crossed her arms over her chest and let out a deep breath. "Listen, you don't need to be so hush-hush about her! It's not like I bite...all the time." Kendall shot a wink over to me.

I was trying to keep my head level while I am trying to piece together that I'm meeting a member of Logan's family member. My whole body was buzzing with anxiety, and I hoped she couldn't tell it was seeping off of me. I glanced over at Logan and saw how tightly he was grasping a clenched fist, his knuckles bearing white.

"Where's your husband?" Logan said through gritted teeth, and Kendall's eyes went wide.

"I think he fell asleep, SAM!!!!!" Kendall yelled with a voice that echoed throughout the house. Avid, there was no response to her. She shook her head slowly, "One sec." Kendall's heels clicked loudly against the hardwood as she went on a mission to search for her husband.

My eyes stayed steady on Logan as I snuck a peek over at him. His dark eyes seethed heavily with irritation as he watched his younger sister unknowingly search his house. Logan's eyes pulled away from her as he shook a look back over to me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize she would've been here today..." Logan's displeased voice traveled to my ears. I gave him an understanding smile as I heard Kendall's voice approaching us. There was a stalking bulky man trailing behind Kendall, and I couldn't help but inch closer to Logan.

The man was a few inches shorter than Logan and had a clean-shaven buzzcut. He had tattoos that tailored down his arm, including a large neck tattoo I couldn't decipher.

I was never good at social situations like this, so I was feeling overwhelmed. Kendall grabbed the man, who I assumed was her husband, and pulled him to her side.

"Bella, this is the most amazing man in the world, Sam." Kendall beamed up at him. "Sam, this is Logan's girlfriend, Bella."

"Nice to meet you, Bella." Sam bowed his head slightly and I gave a shy smile.

"Nice to meet you as well," I responded.

"So come in, we have so much to learn about you Bella! I'll go make some-" Kendall began before Logan cut her off.

"I was just about to take Bella home," Logan grumbled, and Kendall rolled her eyes.

"Oh nonsense, you just got here. Don't try to whisk her away just yet, let's just have a cup of tea together then you can take her wherever you want." Kendall brushed off her brother and turned around to head to the kitchen.

Logan shook me with a displeased look as he grasped my hand in his. He gave a big squeeze before following his sister. I exhaled a breath of air I didn't even realize I was holding in. "Are you okay?" He said barely above a whisper. I quickly nodded my head to convince myself that I was fine.

Kendall grabbed four mugs from one of Logna's cabinets and laid them on the counter. She had flicked on the electronic kettle and leaned against the counter with a mischievous look on her face.

"So Bella, where are you from?" Kendall gave me a warm smile, and I couldn't help but glance over at Logan. He looked as if he was at a war with his mind.

"Rhode Island," I told her quietly.

"Oh, how awesome! We've been there a few times for weddings." Kendall beamed as she brushed her hand against her husband's bicep. "Are you enjoying Michigan so far?"

"Yeah, I've actually created quite a home away from home here," I told her honestly.

"That's good, we live in Virginia right now. That's where Sam is from. So, how long have you and Logan been dating?" Kendall raised her eyebrows over at me. I tried to ignore the stuffed groan from Logan and his sister continued to question me.

"Um, well officially is...today." I chewed numbly at my lip. I watched the wheels continuing to turn in her head.

"Hmm. Well, I'm glad to officially meet you, Bella!" Kendall shrugged her shoulders and stepped closer to me. "Don't let this grump tell you frivolous lies about me! I am not that crazy." Kendall's laugh echoed through the room as she joked to herself. "So Bella, are you coming to the dinner tomorrow?"

I scrunched my eyebrows tightly together, "What's tomorrow?" I asked.

"No, she's working tomorrow. Kendall, why don't you get out the tea bags?" Logan changed the subject a little too fast.

Kendall ignored him once more, "It's a big celebration dinner for me visiting! Oh, you have to come. Logan, don't you want your girlfriend there?"

I kept my eyes steady on Logan as he glared evilly at his sister. If looks could kill...

"Of course I do-" Logan was cut off.

"Okay, perfect! Then she'll be there! Bella, it's at seven m'kay? It'll be so much fun!" Kendall squealed once more,

"You can meet all of Logan and mines extended family."
