It was Graduation day, and finally Dylan and I would be able to get our diplomas and be able to make our dreams come true. Kenzie and Hannah had gotten out of Juvie, but they had transferred to a different school, and my parent's had gotten a restraining order against them and their families. But, I didn't want to think about that now, we had an exciting day ahead of us. we had the graduation ceremony, and then we had the afterparty at Dylan's house.
I had become valedictorian so I had to give a speech in front of all the graduates. "And now, our valedictorian speech by Y/n L/n," Principal Watson smiled. I stood up and walked over to podium, and took a deep breath as I began my speech.
"Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. It is a great honor to be here. I would like to express my appreciation to all of m teachers, friends, and family members who helped het me to where I am right now, standing here in front of all of you. I would also like to thank the administration for providing me with this opportunity. Almost exactly four years ago, I can remember the day that I had left middle school, we were all a little nervous, high school can be intimidating, but it's also a place for growth. And now, here we are getting ready to take the next step in our lives, graduating high school,
We have been given such great opportunities in a safe and happy environment, and for that reason, I believe that we can overcome any obstacle. And we should, because if we don't we are wasting our potential. I was struggling in middle school in Vancouver and left with a less-than-average GPA and no extra curricular activities under my belt. I realized that I couldn't spend the rest of my life sitting in my room and doing nothing, I started studying every night and working hard to earn extra credit whenever it was possible. I joined the high school choir, and gradually my goals of skating through life evolved into a love of learning and staying active which I hope will be a lifelong passion for all of you, Thank you,"
When I finished my speech, I sat back in my seat and the room erupted with applause, and then Principal Waston walked back over to the podium and it was time for the diplomas to be handed out. When Dylan received his diploma, I started cheering for him and I could see that he was blushing a deep pink. "Y/n L/n," Principal Watson called. I walked over to him and I received my diploma and I was so happy. And when the final person received their diploma, all of the graduates stood up as Principal Watson announced the class of 2023.
At the afterparty, I was wearing a beautiful pink lace dress, my grandmother had given it to me for Christmas, and I knew that this would perfect to where for the afterparty...

Dylan and I were hanging out with a few friends in the backyard, Malina and Louis had decided to come to the afterparty even though they were in college, and they looked like they were keeping a secret, but I thought maybe they were just acting silly. I heard the microphone feedback, and it got everyone's attention.
"I'd like to dedicate this song to my amazing girlfriend Y/n, I love you so much, and you've helped me become the person I am today," Dylan smiled. One of the musicians handed him his guitar and he started playing our song...

I was on the brink of tears, at that moment, I was so happy, and everyone in the backyard could tell that I was crying. Everyone was clapping for him, and I walked up to him and embrace him tightly. "I love you so much Y/n, and these four years have been the best years of my life, I wanted to be there for you through it all, college, your career, and eventually, maybe a family of our own," he said.
He slowly sank onto one knee and I clapped my hands over my mouth and started crying more happy tears. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a beautiful diamond ring that was nestled in the black satin of the box.

"Y/n L/n, will you marry me?" he asked. Everyone in the backyard was staring at us waiting for my answer, and I knew what my answer was. "Yes, Dylan Kingwell, of course I will!" I answered. Everyone started cheering as Dylan stood up and slipped the ring onto my finger and pulled me into a kiss as the cheers continued...
