America's POV

A lot of my ideas are great, arguably the best. But this? This one was my best one yet.

"America, this is a horrible plan," Canada whispered to me as we snuck outside our house. The world was dark, the moon only a sliver of light.

Everyone in the house was either asleep or getting ready to. Mom I knew was a heavy sleeper. She once slept through one of our frequent family panics when our brother Australia managed to find a giant ass snake and bring it inside the house. He said it was cute.

Our Dad? It was him we had to be careful of.

"Shhh. You'd said you follow along." I reminded him and he just hung his head low. "Besides, this is going to be awesome."

Canada looked down off our roof and gulped. "Oor definitions of awesome are completely different." He shut his eyes tight and pressed his back firmly against the wall. I looked down and just shook my head.

"Dude, it's not that high up. We are only on the second floor." I shuffled my feet to try and move around the outside wall that encased our attic. On the other side of the house was a tree that had its branches extended just enough for us to jump fo it and then climb down. Easy peasy.

Well. That's not what Canada said when I told him about it, however.

"Is this party really important?" Canada jumped to me and latched onto my arm, leaning away from the edge.

"Duh. It's a party in the woods, why wouldn't that be important?" I lead him to the tree I had mentioned and stopped at the edge of the roof. The dark shadows of branches we're clear just enough for me to get an idea of where to jump. But I pulled out my phone flashlight to be sure.

"Because it's a party in the woods. Who does things like that?"

"Me. Now, you want to go first, or should I?" I extended out my arm, to see if he would take any action to jump. He looked at me with wide eyes, narrowed them, and hit my shoulder hard. I winced and held back a shout of pain. For being a soft country, he can really throw a punch.

"Please, just hold the light." He looked at the tree and launched off the roof. For a moment my heart skipped a beat when he lost his grip on a branch. But he pulled himself up and balanced himself just fine.

He gave me a thumbs up and started climbing down. I breathed a sigh of relief that he didn't get himself hurt. And when he was out of the way, I jumped and climbed down as well.

"Great, now that wasn't so hard was it?" I clapped my hands together, thrilled that I didn't fall and die. And that we were almost out of the danger zone. The diameter was our property line, so we had a little way until we were out of harm's way.

"Let's just get going, eh?" He mumbled and we started off towards the sidewalk by the street. House lights were still on, but most of them were off. Street lights led our way as we laughed and shoved each other around. Once he knew he was safe, Canada lightened up.

"Okay, okay. Out of ten, what do you think is my chance of hooking up with a guy tonight?" I asked, laughter filling my question. Canada tapped his chin and hummed unnecessarily loud.

"Oh come on, is it really that hard to think about?" I gently shoved him and he laughed at me. "Think about it, I'm obviously good looking-"

"Sure, bud."

"Aaand." I put my finger over his mouth so he couldn't insult me again. "I'm charming. I can totally get a guy."

"If you're so confident, then why did you ask me to rate your chance?" He shoved my hand away and raised a brow. I shrugged. Mostly it was so I could see what he thought, and also give him a hint to what my plan was for this party.
