Third person pov

"Mata please....." The Pandavas pleaded in unison.

"No. You all must rest." Kunti said adamantly.

"But Bua... It's boring to sit in the same place. Please let us out in the gardens at least!" Krishna whined like child. He gave his best puppy face possible.

Kunti almost melted seeing his face. Almost.

"No." She repeated, looking away from his irresistible puppy eyes.

"Please...." Krishna pleaded in his extra sugar coated sweet voice while looking at her sweetly.

That's it. Kunti couldn't resist. She gave a slight nod in a way to grant permission. The Pandavas, Balram and Krishna ran and hugged her. Aditya and Dishita stood a distance watching the lovely sight.

"You are the sweetest Bua that has ever existed!" Krishna said and in return, Kunti twisted his ears.

"I don't know what magic you use. Now stop all these buttering." She said and Krishna gave her a sheepish smile.

"Wait... Don't get so happy. I will come with you all. To monitor." She added and Pandavas' smile widened.

Then everyone moved out to the garden area and sat down in a circle under a tree's shade. Arjun immediately kept his head on Kunti's lap and laid down, his eyes closed.

"Why is Bhrata Arjun always sleeping in Mata's lap? He doesn't even give us a chance!" Nakul complained.

"That's because I am her favourite!" Arjun said, his eyes still closed.

"Keep quiet, Arjun. You come here, Nakul." Kunti made Nakul sleep on her other lap while Arjun and Nakul made faces at each other.

"Mata, who is your favourite among us. Please tell us the truth." Nakul asked and Kunti shook her head at his question.

"I love all of you equally. There is no favourite." She said, which bought a small smile to her son's faces.

"But the first born is always special to a mother. Isn't he?" Dishita asked and Kunti visibly stiffened at the mention of 'first born'.

"What I mean to tell is, the first child is the who first brings out the mother in us. He is the first one to call us as mother. He is the first one to whom we give our unconditional love. He is the first one to feel the mother in us. So in that way, the first born always has a special place in a mother's heart. Am I right?" Dishita elaborated and Kunti's eyes teared up.

"What happened Mata? Why are you crying?" Everyone asked as soon as they saw Kunti's teary eyes.

"No-nothing. I... I just remembered the day wh-when Yudhishtr was born. Yes... That only." Kunti covered up.

"What's there to cry in that?" Sahadev asked.

"Those are happy tears, putra. I just remembered how I held my first born in my hands for the first time, how small he was and how he held my finger for the first time and how he slept peacefully when I sang him a lullaby. Those memories are still fresh in my mind". Kunti spoke with a small smile as she let her tears fall. Yudhishtr wiped her tears.

"Sorry Bua, I made you cry." Dishita apologised. Her intention was not to make her cry.

"No no putri. You just reminded me of those wonderful days. That's all." Kunti assured her who gave a small smile in return.

"And then my other kids were born. Each time the mother in me was born again. The feeling of holding your baby in your arms, only a mother can understand that feeling. You know, as soon as Bheem was born, he fell down from a mountain's cliff. I felt my heart stop..... I almost died that day. That day I once again experienced the feeling of losing my child." Kunti spoke, controlling her tears successfully. Her mind drifted off to the day when she left Karna in the flowing Ganges.

"Once again?" Arjun asked, confused. Kunti panicked.

"Did I say once again? No... Why will I say once again? Now leave that, you know what happened after Bheem fell down?" Kunti covered up and desperately tried to change the topic, and succeeded.

"Bhrata would have got hurt." Nakul said and Kunti shook her head in a no.

"The rock he fell on was cracked while he remained unharmed without a single scratch on his body." Kunti said and everybody's mouth formed a 'O' shape. This is the first they are hearing it. Kunti never shared anything about their birth. They just knew that they were born with the help of a mantra by invoking various gods. All these were new to them.

"Yudhishtra was two year old that time. His reaction when he saw Bheem was priceless!!!" Kunti laughed, remembering that day.

"How did I react?" Yudhishtra asked, turning curious.

Flashback....

Little Bheem fell asleep by the time Pandu and Kunti reached their hut. Yudhishtr was keenly observing Madri's cooking.

"Putra!!! Come here and welcome your baby brother!" Pandu said, excited.

Yudhishtr ran towards his father, who picked him up and showed him the sleeping figure if Bheem in Kunti's arms.

Yudhishtr observed Bheem keenly for a good five minutes and then exclaimed....

"He looks like a potato!!!" Yudhishtr shrieked in his immature baby voice.

Flashback ends...

Everyone burst into laughter. While Yudhishtr was super shocked.

"For the first time Jyesht... I love your humour!!!" Nakul said and Bheem shot him a glare.

"Seriously Jyesht... A potato???" Bheem asked him and Yudhishtr looked away, embarrassed.

"I was a toddler when that happened, Bheem." Yudhishtr spoke with a grumpy face.

Everyone laughed again. Everyone are so happy and content. But a certain someone's heart still ached for her first born.
