EPILOGUE
"HOW'S your training?" Bell asked, slicing a pizza for me.
I sighed in frustration. "I'm not in the mood, Bell. You can ask me anything, but not that."
He put the slice of pizza on my plate. "I still don't understand why you applied in De Grande University. Like what the hell? Of all prestigious universities, you really picked the wrong one."
Napakunot ang noo ko. "And why do you think I picked the wrong one? What makes it wrong, Bell?"
He raised his brow at me. "It's far from Belle Ville, Vera, and Realgorez. As if it's located in another planet. Gano'n kalayo at katago 'yong lugar ng De Grande," he respoded, his face marred with boredom.
"You're overreacting, Bell." I rolled my eyes. "Kung gano'n kalayo 'tong De Grande, ba't ka nandito? Maaga pa try out mo bukas sa Vera, 'di ba?" I deadpanned, eying him with a flat stare.
"Oh, come on. Don't give me that look, sis. Be grateful I had the time to travel here all the way from Vera City."
"Wow. Utang na loob ko pa?" Natawa ako at umiling.
"I should be partying tonight, sis. But here I am, treating you to a dinner."
"Bakit? Break na kayo ni Carmina?" taas kilay kong tanong. No'ng mga nakaraan kasi ay hindi naman siya nakakapunta sa mga party dahil binabantayan siya ni Carmina.
"Yeah. Last week pa. Actually, may bago na 'ko. Si Trina. And guess what? We broke up yesterday." He smiled cockily. Grabe, lakas talaga mambabae ng isang 'to.
"Any news from Trevor Keen?"
I straightened up on my seat rigidly, looking slightly away. "Ask his twin, Bell," I said curtly, a hint of irritation bubbling in my voice.
"Anyway, magta-try out din si Rara bukas sa Vera University," kuwento ko sa kanya. Kumagat ako ng pizza at saka ko siya muling tiningnan.
He sat confidently, shaking his head.
"She'll never pass. Trust me. She lacks skills."
I glared pointedly at him. "Hey, you're one hundred percent not right about that!" I retorted.
"Talaga?" Natawa siya. "Sige, tingnan natin. I'll call you tomorrow if she can make it or not," he said confidently.
I surpressed the scoff that was about to leave my lips at his blatant disregard for my friend's talent and skills. "Why do you hate her so much?"
"I don't hate her," he said lazily. "I hate the other Keen, though," he added.
"Bakit naman? Trev's a nice guy."
"Denver's nicer."
"I have to disagree with that, Bell."
"Denver's hotter. Oh, come on. It runs in the blood." He sneered, making me roll my eyes one more time.
"Kidding aside, Trev's not coming back. You should be with my cousin. Give it a shot." He shrugged nonchalantly.
