"I'm home!" maligayang sigaw ko pagkadating ko sa bahay namin.

Dumiretso ako sa kusina since walang tao sa sala namin.

"Hey, Mom." Sabay mano ko sakanya.

Nginitian lang ako ni Mommy.

"Wala pa po si Daddy?" tanong kahit alam ko naman na wala pa talaga si Dad.

"Wala pa. Mag oovertime siya sa work dahil marami daw silang tatapusin"

I nodded to that kahit naman di niya ko tinitignan. She was just too busy cooking our food and I understand.

"You know, Mom I had this classmate na kinulit ako buong araw. He was so bubbly and full of energy. We argued at some point and he told me that he finds it fascinating whenever I speak more than one word," todo bigay ang pagkukwento ko pero isang tango at tipid na ngiti lang ang ibinigay niya sakin at di pa rin ako tinignan.

"But to give the guy some credit, he helped me get through our boring laboratory time. He kept on bugging me but thank Go—"

"Why don't you change clothes first and do some homework?" putol niya sa pagkukwento ko.

Napamaang ako ng saglit sakanya pero agad rin na nakabawi at tsaka ngumiti.

"Sure, Mom. I'll just go down for dinner," nakangiti kong sabi at umalis na para umakyat.

The house feels lonely and quiet without Dad in here. Siya lang kasi ang matino kong nakakausap and sometimes the weird things he does makes us all laugh. He makes Mommy laugh. Minsan pinagkakaisahan pa namin si Mom when she says something corny and magkakatinginan kami ni Dad.

It feels good to have that kind of relationship with my Dad pero iba pa rin pag may kapatid. I always envy my classmates and people in general who have siblings. They seem happier. I can't explain it but the bond they have was something irreplaceable.

Mom had two miscarriages. Yung una nadulas si Mommy habang naglilinis siya, dinugo siya and no one was home at that time. She called Daddy and an ambulance pero huli na dahil nalaglag na ang baby. Mommy was so devastated after that unfortunate incident. Ilang buwan siyang hindi nagsasalita and we would always see her cry quietly for her unborn child.

Almost before the year ends naging okay na ulit si Mommy. She and Dad gave it another shot to have a baby but then another incident took place.

"Kirsche! Bumaba ka nga rito dalian mo!" great natawagan agad ng school ang Mommy ko.

"What is it Mom?" pagbaba ko ang sama agad ng tingin niya sakin nakapamaywang pa siya.

"Ano to at tumawag ang school mo. They told me na may kabalastugan ka nanaman na ginawa sa school niyo" napairap ako dahil sa sinabi niya.

"Don't worry about it mom it was just the same shenanigans I did in the past. Don't be so stressed out di mabuti sa baby yan."

My words didn't soothe her at all.

"Ayaw mo ko mastress but you're giving me reasons to be stressed out! Bakit ka nakisali sa mga kaklase mo na uminom during class hours ha?!"

See? That's why I told my teacher not to call my parents dahil alam ko na maiistress lang si mommy.

"It wasn't a big deal, mom. Sige na magpahinga ka nalang po." I was about to ascend the stairs when she shouted.
