The remaining days after Christmas we went shopping for pasalubong and tour around Los Angeles. I bought the things na binilin sa 'kin ni mom and dad. We went to some instagrammable places like the Urban light, The Broad, Melrose Avenue, and of course, Sunset Boulevard. As for the New Year, we went to Snow Valley and we did some sledding and skiing. The day after that we went home, mom and dad were waiting for us outside our house.

"Hello po Tito, Tita," tapos nagmano siya, "Belated merry Christmas and Happy New Year po.

"Greet them for us, hijo.

Dad laughed when he saw Cove's reaction, he even jokingly smacked him in the back. Cove confusingly laughed with dad.

They shared few laughs and conversation before Cove headed home. I looked at my parents and averted my gaze to our house. I sighed. I missed them. I missed this house. Indeed, there's no place like home. I can feel the warmth from just here standing at the front gate. Not literally though as it is so hot here may be the reason why our house was not fully covered with concrete. From the exterior which partly has wood cladding, wood wall accent, and ceiling up until to furniture; plus, the garden outside our house and even the pocket garden in our kitchen. Mom and dad were the ones who designed our house; they wanted it to be a tropical modern house. It felt like I'm in a resort house every time I'm in here.

"Hey, sweetie.

"Sure dad. I just missed our house," they smiled at what I said and mom went to me.

"Of course, na-miss ko kayo ni dad, mom and also, this little one.

"S-sumipa? Hala mommy isa pa! Baby c'mon kick one more time!" I excitedly caressed mom's tummy and I felt that force again, "Hala! Ang galing!" I uttered.

"Can you blame me? I'm excited, love." We just laughed at dad's answer.
