Fred leads me down the hall to where the wedding must have been taking place. Anna's stood outside and on the other side of the curtain, I'm guessing that's where George is.
"You look beautiful," Anna grins, sorting one of the curls she spent most of her time doing, "George isn't going to know what hit him."
I can't help but laugh, feeling my heartbeat quicken as a man pops his head through the curtain, "Are we ready?"
Fred gives my hand a reassuring squeeze before looking down at me himself, "Silver?"
"Yeah," I nod, smoothing down the front of my dress, "God, yes."
The man gives us a smile before disappearing and not ten seconds later, the curtains and pulled back and there's George.
He's fiddling with a cufflink on his suit jacket - it's the same one that he wore to Bill and Fleur's wedding, the one I say he always looks handsome in (though let's be real, the man looks handsome in everything).
When our eyes meet, he grins and I feel my hand tighten around Fred's arm.
"Please don't let me faint," I plead, making him laugh.
"Never, Silver."
When we arrive to stand beside his brother, George holds his hand out for mine and then the two of us are standing in front of the registrar.
"You look amazing," George whispers, making me look up at him.
Pulling at the sleeve of my dress, I shrug, "It's not much."
His forehead presses against mine, "You look beautiful."
And really, I have to fight the urge to stand on my tiptoes and kiss him but luckily, the woman steps forward, clearing her throat.
"Hello and welcome. I would like to welcome everyone here today to witness the joining together in marriage of George and Amy. I am Laura and I am a Civil Celebrant appointed by the Registrar General for Scotland as a person authorised to solemnise civil marriages. Before I proceed with this civil marriage ceremony it is necessary that you should both identify yourselves by answering the following questions; groom - are you George Weasley?"
"I am."
"And the bride; are you Amy Silver?"
"Yes," I say quickly, "I am."
"We are now gathered here in order that I may solemnise your marriage in the presence of these witnesses and in accordance with the law of Scotland and I confirm that the requirements of that law preliminary to your marriage have been satisfied. Before you, George, and you, Amy, are joined in marriage it is my duty to remind you of the binding character of the vows you are about to make. Marriage according to the law of this country is a union of two people voluntarily entered into for life, to the exclusion of all others. I now require that you make a declaration accepting each other as husband and wife. George, will you take Amy's right hand in your right hand and please repeat after me the following declaration; I George Weasley, solemnly and sincerely declare, that I know of no legal impediment to my marrying Amy Silver."
"I, George Weasley, solemnly and sincerely declare, that I know of no legal impediment to my marrying Amy Silver," George repeats and I squeeze his hand.
