Third Person POV:

The kiss remained on both boys minds, eating their other thoughts up, one by one, till the only thought they had was the kiss.

"Isaac." Harrison snapped his fingers in front of Isaac's face, making him snap back to reality. "We're about to play, are you okay?"

"Y-yeah.. uh of course. Why wouldn't I be?" The worry jumped out- what if Harrison knew?

But no, he couldn't. It was the paranoia taking over.

"You and Zavier both seem to be distracted... are you guys okay now?"

Isaac glanced over at Zavier to see him already looking at him, so he quickly averted his eyes, the memories of the kiss rushing back in, triggered by Zavier's face.

"Yeah, we're both fine." He forced a smile.

Harrison had a confused look, but nodded, not having enough time to focus on the strangeness since the game was starting.

"Just focus, alright." Harrison reminded Isaac before they got into their starting positions.

If only he could erase his memory of this morning but no, impossible.

***

It's not that the game was going bad- but it was for Zavier and Isaac.

So far, Isaac had missed two goals, and Zavier kept kicking the ball too wide, or too short.

Zavier was in control of the ball, but his mind wasn't focused. If it was, he would've seen a player from the opposite team coming straight towards him.

At the last second, he looked up and swerved to the right, but it was too late. The grass wasn't fully dry from the rain, and he slid, falling to the side as his leg skidded on the grass.

Isaac watched the whole encounter, wincing a bit as he saw Zavier fall, and cringing when he turned to look at Coach's fuming face.

Zavier embarrassingly got up, scratching the side of his head. Isaac could see Dillon whispering something to Zavier. He couldn't hear what Dillon was saying, but it didn't look good.

Luckily for the team, or unlucky for Zavier, it was half time.

"Reid. Jones. Here now." Coach ordered, stern faced. Zavier and Isaac both reluctantly made their ways to coach, making sure to keep a good distance between each other. "Why the distancing?"

They both shrugged at the same time, but didn't make any effort to come closer together.

Coach shook his head in confusion, but decided to not question it any more. "What the hell is going on with the two of you?"

Isaac looked down at the ground and avoided eye contact with Coach, focusing on the grass instead.

"You've both been distracted this whole game, and we can't afford to lose this game or we won't make the semi finals. So I'm sorry but-"

Isaac's head lifted up quick, realising where this was going.

"-I'd rather you two stay on the bench instead of going back on. This isn't permanent at all, and you might be swapped in before the end of the match, but for now, both of your minds aren't concentrated on the game."

Zavier grumbled under his breath, but none of them dared say anything to make it worse. Being truthful to themselves, they both knew they weren't being alert enough.

Isaac walked to Harrison, who had been watching their mini telling off.

"I'm not going back on Coach said." Isaac sulked.
