A huge pile of new silk  sarees from Mullai ' s  were stacked in front of Lak.amma , in the small sitout area adjacent to her room .
As well few of her pearl / coral jewelry as  too !!!
With Lakamma seated in the centre the three DILs were sitting around her .

With all the preparations for Midhulla s wedding being over , Mullai had opted to gift her athai and co sisters some of her hand designed sarees .

Mullai : Athai , ithu naalumae , light weight Banarasi than. Usual ah romba heavy ya than varum .
But intha thari , enoda special ..romba romba light weighted ah erukum .

She handed over the silk sarees to her athai .
Lemon yellow , aquamarine blue , off white and silver grey were the colours she had selected for the elderly woman , with elegant borders .

Lakamma : Pudichu eruka va ? Romba pudichu eruku da . Thuniyum nalla mellissa eruku .

Mullai : Athan en special ,athai .

Meena : Yenge , Banarasi naalae , heavy weight sareee thananga .Ithelaam weight ah vae ellaiyae .pu

Mullai : Athu original than  .But enkitta processor eruku . Athulla naa konjam customise pannen athaikaaga !!!

Meena : Customera ? Enanga solringa ?

Till date , Mullai had thought that Meena was quiet educated . But now ?

Mullai : Custom ellainga . Customize !!!

Dhanam : Customer ah ? Chi..chi...enna Mullai nee ?

The other loggerhead asked !!!

Mullai was really pissed with the other two . Not that they didn't understand the meaning of what she said .
But ,
In these few weeks ,of togetherness , Mullai realised that both the other DILs never missed a single chance to defame Mullai . Be it a word or a situation .
The jealousy seemed to be there still burning at the bottom of their hearts ; though not outwardly fought with !!!

She tried her level best to patch up with both of them .

Dhanam though was better than the two , was quiet ignorant or faked too much of innocence at times .
Though she possessed good qualities , her insecurities and Meena s guidance made her twist her tongue against Mullai .

Meena on the other hand was direct poison !!!
