A true mother

chapter nine

At the hospital.

Amy gently nudged Ty awake.

Ty slowly opened opened his eyes.

"Oh hey "said Ty groggily.

"How is he doing "?asked Amy.

"Not very well he really wants Andrea" said Ty said .

"That's understandable"said Amy.

"Hey Ty why don't you go home and get some sleep "?asked Amy.

":no I don't want to leave him  he's scared enough as it is"said Ty.

"I'll stay with him and call you if anything changes but you need to sleep "said Amy.

" okay I'll go but you call me if either of you need anything "said Ty.

"I will i promise" said Amy.

As Andrea's house.

Andrea woke up and picked up her phone.

She checked her phone and was horrified.

She found a voice mail  saying Luke was sick and going to the hospital.

Andrea ran out of the house.

On the way to the hospital Andrea's thoughts were spiralling out of control.

" oh my God I'm such a terrible mother "

" how dare you decline Amy and Ty's calls' .

As the hospital

Andrea pulled up to the hospital and ran in

" hi I'm looking for Luke  kashani "said Andrea .

" are you family" ? Asked the receptionist.

" yes I'm his mother" said Andrea.

" okay room 107 just down the hall" the said the receptionist.

" okay thank you" Andrea said.

Andrea arrived at the door of Luke's  room but stopped to her tracks when she heard Luke having a coughing fit and saw how bad he looked.

" it's okay cough it out "said Amy gently rubbing Luke's back.

After a few minute Luke finally stopped coughing .

Luke flopped back into his pillow completely exhausted.

" Hey look who's here" said Amy smiling

"Mommy " Luke said weakly.

"Hey baby I'm so sorry i didn't come sooner"  said Andrea kissing Luke's head.

"It's okay said  Luke.
.
"I'll give you guys some time "said Amy.

Then she left the room.
