A true mother

chapter twenty-four

 

2 weeks later 
In Lyndy Room 
Ty and Amy playing with Lyndy , Jack walks in 
“Clint is here to see you” Jack said 
“Did he say what he wanted? TY asked 
“No, he just says he needs to talk to you and Amy” Jack said 
Ty and Amy walk into the kitchen
“Hey Clint, what can I do you for?” Ty asked
“I have a little boy who needs to be adopted” Clint said 
“Where are his parents?” Ty asked 
“His mother is un able to take care of him and his father was killed in a car accident, he is 8 years old and his name is Carter” Clint said 
“We would have to think about it” Amy said 
“That is fair enough, just let me know you soon as possible” Clint said
Clint walks out
“I think it would be a good idea to adopt and not foster that way there is no chance of his parents coming back he needs us” Ty said 
“I know that but are you sure we are ready to take on another kid right now?” Amy asked 
“Yes, I think so” Ty said 
“Ok let’s give it 24 hours just to make sure we are totally ready for this” Amy said 
“Ok I agree let’s sleep on it and then make our decision no harm in that” Ty said 
That night 
Amy and Ty lay in bed 
“Are you still awake?” Ty asked
“Yes, I am still awake” Amy said 
“Are you still thinking yes” Ty asked
“Yes, I am still thinking Yes” Amy said 
“Then our family would be complete, Lyndy will have an older brother” TY said
“I think she will like that” Amy said 
 
The Next Morning 
Amy and T sitting on the porch, Clint walks up 
“Did you make your decision?” Clint asked 
“Yes, we decided that our answer is Yes” TY said 
“I will bring Carter over in a bit” Clint said 
“Ok Great” Ty said with a smile 
Lyndy walks out
“I am getting a new brother” Lyndy said with excitement 
“I am glad you are excited” Amy said with a smile
Amy and Lyndy walk over to the barn
Ty walks inside, Jack having coffee 
“So, you are adopting a little boy” Jack asked 
“I think that is great” Jack said with excitement in his voice
“Good I am glad you feel that way Jack” Ty said 
Ty walks over and joins Amy and Lyndy in the barn
They feed and water the horses, Clint car pulls up Carter gets out of the car 
“Hi, I am Ty and this is Amy” Ty said with a smile
“H-Hi I am C-carter” Carter said in a shaky voice 
“It’s nice to meet you buddy I am Amy, and this is your sister Lyndy” Amy said 
“W-will you teach me how to ride a horse?” Carter asked
“yes of course, but first let’s get you settled in . 
 
Three Months later 
Amy and Ty move into their own house and they take family trail rides. Carter and Lyndy are best friends . They are happy knowing their family is complete.
