In the kitchen
Ty Amy and Luke sitting at the kitchen table
“What happened with your Mom?” Ty asked
“She was out of it while I was there.” Luke said as a tear rolled down his cheek.
“Out of it how?” Amy asked
“I don’t know she slept most of the time I was there” Luke said
“Can you go play outside for a bit I need to talk to Ty” Amy said
Luke walks out the door
“I told you he was not ready to be with his mom yet” Amy said
“We had to give her a chance” TY said
“We did and look what happen, he is devested because Andrea is not ready to be a mom yet” Amy Said
“Well we can tell Clint we tried it and it didn’t work” Ty said
“So, what we are giving up on Luke ever being with his mom again” Amy said
“No, we are just going to dial back on the visits for a while” Ty said
Jack brings Lyndy in
“Someone was awake” Jack said
Jack puts Lyndy at the kitchen table
“I will get you some breakfast” Ty said
Amy walks outside
On the porch
Luke sitting on the porch
“How come you are not playing” Amy asked
“I don’t feel like playing right now” Luke said
“How come?” Amy asked
“I just want to be alone” Luke said
“What’s on your mind?” Amy asked
“Before everyone got involved my mom was ok she had her moments but most of the time we were ok. Now that people are involved, she is on meds and more out of then ever before” Luke screamed
Luke ran off, TY walks out
“What happen?” Ty asked
“Luke says that it is our fault that Andrea was out of it during their visit” Amy said
“Andrea needed help there is no doubt about and they can’t rush these they both have to be patient. Andrea won’t be cured overnight, and Luke needs to understand that.” Ty said
“So we are an agreement no more overnight visits right now she can come see him here but that is it for right now” Amy said
“Yes, that is what I think is best for now” TY said
Ty and Amy walk over to the barn
In the Barn
Luke is petting the horses
“Amy and I were talking for right now no more overnight visits for now, but your mom can come here and see you whenever she wants” Ty said
“Ok that sounds fair because someday I want to go home for good” Luke said
TY grabs on to Amy and kisses her on the forehead
“Everything will be ok I promise” Ty said
