chapter twenty-three

A day before Luke leaves

Andrea pulled up to heartland.

She got out of the car with a huge smile on her face.

" hey Andrea Luke's in the house" said Amy.

" do you know where" ? Asked Andrea.

" in his room I think" said Amy.

" okay thanks" said Andrea.

" no problem" said Amy smiling.

She was in a really good mood today.

In Luke's room

Andrea knocked on the door of Luke's room.

" come in" yelled Luke.

" hey buddy" said Andrea smiling..

" mom what are you doing here" ? Asked Luke excitedly.

" I'm here to help you pack" said Andrea smiling.

" I've already started" said Luke.

" well then let me help you finish" said Andrea.

About half an hour later Amy went upstairs to check on Luke and Andrea.

" how's it going up here" ? Asked Amy smiling.

" oh pretty good" said Andrea smiling.

"Um Luke where's all your stuff " ? Asked Amy.

" oh I packed it already" said Luke.

" are you going somewhere " ? Asked Amy jokingly.

" yeah I'm going home tomorrow" sad Luke.

" oh yeah of course I knew" that said Amy trying to hide the fact that she obviously didn't know.

" okay well I'll leave you guys alone" said Amy leaving the room.

Andrea looked at Luke.

" she didn't know did she" ? Asked Andrea.

" no Ty told me not to tell her" said Luke.

" why " ? Asked Andrea

" he said he'd handle it" sad Luke.

Amy ran into her and Ty's room slamming the door and starting to sob.

" how could they all do this to me "? Thought Amy.

" how could nobody told me Luke was leaving at all let alone tomorrow" ?

" I'm going to miss him so much"

15 minutes later

Ty walked in to his in Amy's room to see Amy sitting on the bed.

" hey I was wondering where you were" said Ty smiling.

His smile quickly faded when you saw that Amy was crying.

" what's wrong baby" ? Asked ty sitting on the bed beside her..

" how could you not tell me Luke is leaving tomorrow " said Amy through tears.

"I was going to but i was nervous you react well badly "said ty.

"And you thought giving me less than a day to process the whole thing would be helpful'? Asked Amy angrily..

" I should have told you and I'm sorry I just hate seeing you so upset" said ty.

" well this time you caused it" said Amy.

" I was in a really good mood for the first time little while" said Amy.

" I know I'm sorry I should have told you" said Ty.

" do you want me to stay with you" ? Asked Ty.

" no I need you to leave me alone" said Amy.

" okay that's fine come get me if you need me" said Ty.

" I will but for now can you pass me one of those rubber bands" ? Asked Amy

" here " said ty.

He hated the rubber band technique because he hated seeing her hurt herself even in the smallest way.

Ty left the room closing the door behind him.

Ty walked into the living room to see Luke and Andrea now sitting on the couch .

" is she okay" ? Asked Luke.

" yeah she's just going to miss you when you leave" said Ty.

" any idea why she's so upset" ? Asked Andrea.

" I honestly think she thinks we're never going to see Luke again" said Ty.

" of course you're going to see Luke again it would be pure torture for everyone involved if you didn't" said Andrea.

Later that night

Amy and ty were laying in bed.

Ty? Asked Amy softly

"Yes "? Asked ty .

" I'm sorry" said Amy.

"For what?Asked ty .

"All the hell I've put you through " said Amy.

"Honey look at me there is no one else I'd rather go through hell with then you I love you " said ty .

"I love you too "said Amy .
