chapter thirteen

Amy, Ty, Luke and Lyndy all walked into the barn.

They were untacking the horses when a familiar car pulled up .

" is that Clint" ? Asked Luke.

" looks like it " said Ty smiling.

" what's you doing here "? asked Luke confused.

"Looks like you've about to find out"said Ty.

"Are you ready to go Luke"? Asked Clint.

"Clint i think you should tell him where he's going" prompted Amy smiling..

" oh we decided to keep that at surprise did we" said Clint smiling.

" we wanted to see the look on his face when you told him" said Amy smiling.

" come on where are we going somebody told me the suspense is killing me said Luke.

" okay you are going to visit your mom and you're going to stay there overnight" said Clint.

" seriously "? Asked Luke shocked and happy.

" yes we promise" said Ty smiling.

" but I don't have a bag packed or anything" said Luke.

Amy just handed him his backpack.

" oh my goodness this is really happening" said Luke in disbelief.

" have fun with your mom " said Amy smiling.

"I will" said Luke smiling..

half an hour after Luke left

Amy was playing with Lyndy when her phone rang.

"I'll be right back baby"said Amy.

"Okay mommy" said Lyndy smiling.

Amy walked into her and Ty's room to take the call.

10 minutes later

Amy walked into the kitchen after her phone call.

" that was dr. Adler" said Amy.

"What did she say " asked Ty.

" I have pcos "said Amy.

"At least it's not cancer" said Ty.

" yeah that's true" said Amy flatly.

" hey what's on your mind" ? Asked Ty putting Amy closer him

" are you sure don't want out" Asked Amy.

" honey listen to me I love you weather we have one kid or two isn't going to change anyting" said Ty lovingly.

" I feel defective" said Amy sadly.

" you are are not defective your worth does not depend on how many kids you can have" said Ty.

" I know but" said Amy unsure.

" but what? talk me through this" Ty encouraged her.

" no nevermind it's stupid" said Amy.

" I'm sure it's not stupid and even if it was I'm your husband you're supposed to tell me all the things" said Ty...

Amy laughed

" now that is what I'm talking about" Ty said smiling.

" you always know what to say to me" Amy said smiling .

" does that mean you're going to tell me what's going on inside your head " ? Asked Ty.

" okay well your mom's coming today" said Amy.

" yeah and"? asked Ty confused.

" Ty you know she's going to ask for another grandbaby" Amy said.

" okay there's like four ways we can get around that 1 just ignore the completely 2 we tell her we're not ready yet 3 we're adopting the next kid in the future 4 I got a vasectomy" said Ty. Smiling.

" I'm tempted by option one but often three would be the most honest" said Amy.

" okay well if that happens we can pick from those two" said Ty

" I just don't get it " said Amy.

" I didn't even like being pregnant
why am I so sad" ? Asked Amy..

"You're griefing the loss of the chance of having more kids" said Ty.

'I think you're right i just want to stop feeling like this"

"It will get better "said Ty  .

"I love you" said Amy smiling and kissing Ty  .

"I love you too more than you will ever know" said Ty kissing Amy back.

The Next day

Luke came storming into the house angrily.

"Hey Luke what's wrong did you have fun with your mom "? Asked Amy  .

" no " said Luke angrily

" oh okay what happened"?asked Amy.

" I don't want to talk about it" said Luke.

" okay " said Amy.

Luke went up to his room.

In Luke's room

Luke walked into his room to see Katie sitting on his bed.

"Out" said Luke aggressively.

" what's your problem "? Asked Katie annoyed.

" I just want a Mom who cares about me" said Luke on the verge of tears.

" I can't believe I'm asking this but do you want a hug" ? Asked Katie.

" yes please " said Luke.

" you know you do have a mom who cares about you it's just not Andrea" sad Katie.

" oh my God you're right" said Luke.

He jumped off his bed, rushed downstairs and into the kitchen to see Amy hugged her as tight as he could.
