Jimin bit on his pen lid as he stared at the behind of Taehyung who was sitting at the very front of the class because of past bad behaviour. He grinned like a lovesick teenager and mindlessly drew squiggles on his notepad, acting like he was paying attention to the class that he was currently in.

He found himself falling deeper and deeper into the pit that now seemed bottomless of love which Jimin was trapped in, it seemed like he wasn't going to get out anytime soon, however. Even if he makes it to the end.

"Jimin, what part of the blood cell would you find monocytes?"

"I-uh..." Jimin stuttered. He'd die of embarrassment if he was caught out for not paying attention in class. "The white blood cell."

The teacher let out a little gruff like noise as he went back to the board. Jimin couldn't help but wonder if the teacher purposely called him out to embarrass the boy. Jimin was glad he had some basic knowledge on the subject.

That gave Jimin the confidence he needed to go back to ogling at the latter. He looked handsome from behind, just like the front. He was grateful that no one could tell that he was fantasizing about a certain someone or else that would lead to some questions that Jimin would not want to answer.

"I wonder what he's thinking about?" Jimin whispered to himself, focusing his vision on the back of the younger's head. "Is he thinking of girls? Maybe the upcoming football match? Is there a chance that I could be on his mind?"

He let that thought amuse him, knowing that there was no chance of it coming true but still wished that one day it might change.

"For the rest of the lesson, I need you to be in pairs-"

Pairs?!

Jimin's head perked up at the calling. He could already see a few classmates eye each other down, claiming a partner before the cattle auction began.

Partner work was never Jimin's strong point in class but being one of the top students made it easier for him. People would partner up for the class and make Jimin do all the work. He didn't mind doing the work if it was for Taehyung. That would be an exception.

The moment he saw the first person stand up and run to their friend Jimin followed promptly. He walked up to where Taehyung sat and grinned when he saw Taehyung carving words into the table.

"T-Taehyung! H-hey! Do you want to be partners-"

"Tae, partners?" Kai butted in, standing in front of the short boy.

Taehyung grinned when he heard his name being called by Kai. Jimin stared at the two interacting. He was the first to ask but it seemed like Taehyung didn't hear him or simply ignored him.

The younger clenched his fist tightly, standing straight and tried to stand strong and tall but he couldn't help but feel like crying. Even though he asked first it didn't matter. "It's alright... you can just be on your own."

Just as Jimin turned to head back to his seat, a small smile crept on his lips as he heard the teacher call out to the notorious duo. "You two know the rules. You can't be partners together."

Was this a chance that the angels bestowed upon Jimin? He watched as Kai walked away from Taehyung and started arguing with the teacher to let them work with each other but was then sent to the office for bad behaviour.

Jimin looked back at Taehyung and then around his class. It seemed like no one would come near them anytime soon so he took his chances. "T-Taehyung!" Jimin exclaimed, making sure that Taehyung could hear him this time.

"Oh, hey, Jimin." Taehyung muttered, he didn't give Jimin any caring look like before and instead went back to writing on his desk. Jimin, however, didn't take it personally and zeroed in on Taehyung.
