"here" kenma handed me a velvet box with a white ribbon wrapped around it, I took it from his hands,

"what is it?" I asked with a smile on my face

"open it and you'll find out" he laughed a bit

"okay, okay" I giggled.

I tugged on the ribbon, easily undoing the bow and opened the box. Immediately tears rushed to my eyes, it was a gold charm bracelet. two of the charms stood out the most, one had a picture of my mom and I, and another of kenma and I, they were in the shape of hearts. the other charms were all in gold and were things like a video game controller or a sakura flower with a few petals.

"it's beautiful" I beamed, the tears brimming on my eyes spilling out looking at the charms with my mom and I and kenma and I.

"I was worried you wouldn't like it" he let out a breath of relief

"wouldn't like it?" I looked up to him, "I think this is the best thing I've ever received"

"thank god" he wiped the tears away from my cheeks.

I clasped the bracelet around my wrist, the metal was slightly cold, but I didn't care.

"I figured as time went on you could add charms or I could buy charms for it" Kenma blushed a bit

"that sounds great" i smiled, tackling him in another hug. he wrapped his arms around my shoulders and played with the ends of my hair. He hummed into my shoulder

"I don't wanna go home" I laughed a bit, realizing it's kinda silly

"you've gotta" he replied, still holding me just as close as earlier.

"not just yet though, I can stay for a moment longer" I squeezed him a bit tighter.

Kenma moved away from the hug for a second, momentarily leaving me upset for a moment, but then I was engulfed in his warmth again, the sides of his jacket wrapped around me. He rested his head on my shoulder and drew me in once again.

"if you have enough time we can go to the cafe down the street" he sweetly asked into my ear

I nodded my head and we broke apart for a moment, so he could zip his jacket up. He took my hand in his and stuffed them into his pocket to keep them warm.

We both walked towards the cafe, the warm yellow light a contrast to the stark white snow blanketing the streets and buildings. The snow fall was gentle, almost like little fluff balls floating down from the sky. The night sky was a gorgeous navy blue.

Kenma pushed open the door and a small bell chimed, the warmth from the fireplace made the cafe seem even cozier. The smell of warm bread and baked goods filled the small room. Kenma and I took a seat right next to the window after ordering, and per typical Kenma, he got an apple pie for us to share.

"So, how has everyone been over the past week?" I asked, settling into my chair.

"They've been good, Kuro's been M.I.A. for a while, but he still is pretty good at texting me back"

"M.I.A. huh? what do you think he's up to?"

"honestly, I don't know, but I'm suspicious"

"yeah, kinda is sus" I smiled, twirling the fork around my finger

"honestly I think he's spending time with a girl"

"that.... that actually sounds pretty accurate"
