We were sitting in the living room of my dad's mansion, the decor definitely reflected his expensive taste...or maybe it was the fact he had a crystal grand piano sitting in the room or a display of a dissected guicci wristwatch mounted on his wall as decor...actually, no, probably both.

The room was cold and felt almost sterile with the amount of white in it. The leather couches were a dark grey and the floor was a black wood, but aside from that and the T.V. most of the room was white and light shades of grey. If someone locked themselves in this room, I could almost guarantee they'd go insane by the end of the week.

Kenma sat there, practically shaking as he held a cup of tea in his hands. My father's hospitality skills were only a couple steps above a rock, but at least he gave Kenma some tea and allowed him to sit on the couch.

"Kireina, could you go to your room for a minute" my father nonchalantly asked me, I looked over to Kenma with a worried expression but he just nodded his head quickly before my father noticed anything and I left. The uneasy feeling in my stomach only growing worse, not subsiding.

Kenma's P.O.V.:

"Kozume-san, I'm not an unreasonable person" Mr. Tensai shifted his weight, propping his elbow up on his knees and resting his head in his hands.

"U-um, you can call me Kenma, sir"

"well, okay. Kenma-san, how long have you known my daughter?"

I froze for a moment, my anxiety was starting to get the best of me, "um, since we started high school together. But, we've only become close this school year."

"Right, okay... how has she... been" he slowed down when saying the word been, emphasizing it.

"well, uh... she, she's like how she normally is"

"and how would you describe 'normally is'"

"uh...ah,um... I guess she's more social than I am, but not by much, she only really just deals with talking to people for mine and Kuro's sake, oh and Yaku-chan's too"

"...Kuroo?"

"Tetsuro Kuro"

"ah, okay, Kuroo-kun. I assume the Yaku-chan you're speaking about is Asami-chan and not Morisuke-san"

"uh,ah,uh...yes..sir" I nodded my head slightly

"Has she...I don't know...said anything about me, in particular"

"um, no, I-I'm sorry, she doesn't really talk about you" I tried my best to lie and mentally crossed my fingers it would work

"I see..."

There was a beat of awkward silence that passed before the older man picked the conversation back up again

"What do you want with my daughter?"

"I..I-ah-um, well, ah-u-uhm, we're close friends-"

"Not just friends" He corrected me

"-ah, uh, right, not just friends"

"Do you have any bad intentions with her" His gaze became dark and intense

"uhm, ah, uh... no sir I don't. I think she's probably one of the purest beings I've come across and I want her to stay that way"

Mr.Tensai sighed a little bit, leaning back into his white leather chair, propping his elbow up on the back of the chair and the other on the arm rest, "Well, that's good"
