That blasted girl took the key! The only key and she still has it! I've got to think of something. Something that will stop her from coming up here. This is my territory and if she discovers anything about what happened here, the legacy will be ruined. They'll dig up the past and find out who I was and what I was really doing here that fateful day.
I can't under any discrepancies allow this to happen. She must not be allowed to open that door. The mother is my safest bet. That'll keep her from being able to see what has been hidden up here for years. What needs to remain hidden for centuries to come. She must never find out what she is.
