AS THE, what I learned, Quinjet pulls up to a big Avengers base everyone stands to get off. I nervously scratch my arm. It's a tick of mine that just never went away.

Natasha nudges me with her elbow, giving me a comforting smile. I nod in appreciation.

As we walk into the building multiple alarms go off. I immediately look around for the cause. The ShadowHunter part of me making my eyes glaze with marble.

Multiple people dressed in suits with a big A on their shoulders come around the corner, their guns all aimed at me.

I instantly pull out a knife I always have on me. I know 'where would she get this?' I hid it in my boot every time I got back from a mission.

    Like father, like daughter.

I get in a strike position as I locate all the exits in the room. But before I get any further with my plan of security my train of thought is interrupted.

"She's fine. As long as someone is with her at all times. And the fugitives are not, well not fugitives. Congrats guys," a man with weird facial hair says, making all of the agents stand down.

"Hey. Vera, right? I'm gonna call you VB. You know Vera Barnes. Yeah found out that little secret, Barnes. Really, didn't think that I, Tony Stark, wouldn't find out?" The supposed 'Tony' states.

His vibe is cool. Lighthearted. A smile alights on my face at his humor. A giggle slips through my lips, foreign to the sound.

I quickly skip back into silence. Not wanting to be corrected for the most absurd action.

Tony smiles at me, loving how he can please the ex-assassin. "So what was a pretty little thing like you, doing in such a bad place like HYDRA?"

I clear my throat, not knowing the answer myself. "Wrong place, wrong time?" I say it more like a question. I really have no idea.

Bucky puts his head down. Falling in love with someone while in the grasp of HYDRA was a bad choice. But, it did give him Vera.

"Well let's avoid that topic for now!" Sam says awfully cheerful. Everyone leading me into a huge kitchen.

The big, open doorway leading to what looks like a dining room. The kitchen itself could have fit thirty of the cells back at the HYDRA base.

I turn in a circle, in awe of everything. I have never seen anything this luxurious! It's so... fragile. I feel like one touch could dirty something.

"So..." I turn to see everyone sitting around the kitchen. Some on the bar, counters, in chairs. I just stand in the middle awkwardly.

"We have a guest room you can have. We can make it officially yours. Let you, um, bedazzle it," I tilt my head up in appreciation.
