We had everything moved in our new place

We had everything moved in our new place. We slowly were unpacking it all. It was really the most beautiful little house we ever saw. I loved the bright yellows and blues of the house. It was adorable. Somethings did need a little touching up. But there was nothing that we could not handle ourselves.

I was excited to start my new life with Ricky. I was happy to be back with him. He had also announced to the press that we were together.

That things between us were very serious indeed. I could not be happier. Mary Ellen had moved in with Corey.

They got a condo together. And I figured Corey was going to be asking her to marry him in the near future. Time would tell. I was so happy for my friends. I hoped my sister Avery would find the same happiness we all have these past few months.

"Willow where are you honey?" Ricky calls for me from the hallway.

"In the bedroom hon" I answer him.

I hear him walking into the hall to our room. He pull me in his embrace. I had just gotten done placing fresh sheets on our new bed. Our room was in a lavender purple color. It was calming. Beautiful. I loved it. The window had a little seat where you could overlook the garden outside. I would love to read a book right over there.

"This place is sure becoming home" he tells me.

I hold him back in my arms. "Yes, it really is. I love the color of this room. Did you still want to paint it?" I ask.

He smiles. "Not if this is what you love honey" he answers me. He kisses me. "can we have lunch outside? I am famished. I made some stew to have" he mentions.

"Really? That sounds great it will go good with the fresh bread I baked yesterday" I say.

"My thoughts exactly" he adds.

We go down to the kitchen. And gather things to go outside. We had no picnic table yet for the back yard. But we planned on getting one. So, when people were over we could have a garden party outside when the weather was nice here.

Maybe one day when we had kids of our own, we would have birthday parties in this back yard for them. I grab an old blanket as Ricky, and I carry things for a lunch outside.

I spread the blanket on the fresh cut grass. Then we set everything out. It smelled wonderful to. I sit near Ricky's side as we begin to dine on our lunch we made together.

"I know some days will not always be this nice as we have it now. It will be busy. And I know I will think back wishing for a day like today" Ricky sighs as he eats his food.

"I know. You will be making music. Going back to work" I agree.

"But no crazy tours. I am done with them" he says. "anything that harms us is out of the question for my future" he tells me.

I smile. "Ricky it was my fault for things to" I remind him.

"I know. But I want our foundation of this love to get stronger everyday" he adds.

"We will together" I promise him.

He nods. "We have so much to look forward to" he says to me.

"That we do" I agree.

After lunch we clean up. And we are glancing around the garden at what needed to be done in the future for a beautiful yard. I did love this garden area. I had so many ideas for it. Sunflowers. Roses. More! I wanted a full garden. Where I could pick fresh flowers every day and plant then on the table.

How wonderful would that be?

"You want to go get flowers?" he teases me as we stand in the gazebo.

I giggle. "I do. I want sunflowers. And roses" I tell him.

"You shall" he promises me.

He kisses me. I kiss him back.

I glance around me. "I want a sunflower bed over there. And the roses over there. Lavender yes we could get a blooming lavender bush...."

"Willow?"

"We could plant it under our bedroom window" I add.

"Willow?" he asks me.

I glance over at him. Then notice he was down on one knee.

"Rick" I gasp.

"Marry me?" he asks softly. He looks me in the eyes as he holds a ring out to me.

"Oh Ricky" I stammer with pleasant surprise.

I nod yes with happy tears. He slides the ring on my finger. "Yes, I will marry you" I promise him.

He twirls me in his arms. Then he kisses me.

"Willow I love you so very much" he whispers near my ear as he holds me close.

"I love you Ricky Nelson. I always have and I always will" I vow.

"We are going to get married!" he gushes as he pulls me back to look at me.

"We are! Finally," I add.

He kisses me. "I bet you want to tell Mary Ellen" he teases.

"I would" I agree.

"Why not have them over tonight for dinner. Things are not ready yet. But just have them and we can share our big news. What do you say?" he asks me.

"Oh, I love the way you think" I giggle.

I have happy tears in my eyes. He kisses me.

"I have you and I will never let you go" he softly tells me. "I will never let you down. I will never ever break your heart" he promises me. "I will be your man. Your husband. And I will take care of you"

"Oh Ricky" I say as I melt in his arms. I press my lips on his. "I am so blessed to have you in my life"

"How will your family take this news?" he worries.

"They know we love each other. Who cares what they think?" I answer. He nods.

"We will work it all out" he adds. "I can't wait to marry you Willow"

"I can't wait to be your wife" I say. "I'll be Mrs. Willow Nelson"

"I love the sound of that" he says to me. "My wife" he says as he kisses me. I tingle inside hearing him say that. All my dreams were finally coming true. At last.
