I think that's all I need. After all, I'm only staying at Nick's for the weekend. He said I shouldn't have to worry about his parents saying no because they really don't care what he does. I don't know if that's necessarily good or bad, but right now it's good for me soooo- yeah..

I head down the stairs with my bag in hand and sit on the couch to watch some tv before Nick shows up to get me.

-DingDong-

I leap up from the couch at the sound of the door bell ringing. "Nick! Took you long enough." I said, opening the door.

"Yeah yeah yeah, shut up. I didn't have a ride and I had to ride my bike here so that alone took me about 30 minutes." He said as he pushed passed me and into my house.

We had been talking about random things and munching on some snacks for a while after he came in, and now it was starting to get dark outside.

"Hey, I think we should get going if we wanna get back to your house before it gets completely dark out."

"Yeah I guess." He said and started standing up from his stool.

"Do you got a bike? Because if you don't, I have no idea how we're gonna get back."

"Yeah I have a bike. The tires might need to be aired up, but I have one." I said, standing up as well.

I got my bag and we left the house through the garage so I could air up the tires before we left.

The bike ride was kinda nice. We didn't talk much because we were so focused on going the right direction, but it was still peaceful. Even though it's August, the air is really nice. Not too hot, but also not chilly enough to need a sweatshirt. It was perfect.

20:24

We finally arrived at his house. We ended up going in the house through the garage so we could put our bikes away.

When we went inside we were met with a dark house and complete silence. I was a bit freaked out but Nick seemed like he was completely used to it.
"So where should I put my stuff?" I said, squinting as he turned on the lights. Wow! his house is kinda nice.

"Oh. Here follow me, you can put your bag in my room."
