Sleepless nights

I came home in a merry mood. By the time I reached ,my parents were already there. They were arguing about some matter, maybe it's related to the case they were working on or maybe it's her birthday. I hoped everything was right. I entered silently, seeing me come,my parents stopped fighting at once and my father  said “Oh, honey you are home ,how was the party?” “ It was good ” I replied. “Did you have some fun?” my father asked. “Yeah I did” I said cheerfully.  “Good, then why don't you go get some rest, you might be tired.” Papa said. “Sure” I said and obediently went to my room as I don't want to push the topic or get involved in their fight.

My room was still messy with all the clothes that got rejected, lying around.

I decided to clean them the next day( that means, never) and took a shower. In the shower ,I was still thinking about how good my party was and maybe I and Karan can be a thing like a real relationship. But still there's something that isn't right, something is nudging my mind constantly but I don't know what. Have you ever been in a situation where you have attempted all the questions to the test but still feel like you are going to fail? This is my test and I don't know why I feel like I am going to fail. Relationships today are complicated, you can neither explain them nor uphold them. The constant fights and quarrels can sometime break a person or the secrets that we don't tell anybody about, become the reason for breaking up of relations. There's always a point where relationships are on the verge
of breaking but its upto the stakeholders to uphold it or break it. I have never been successful in maintaining relationships ,but I want this one to succeed and I think it will.

I got out of the shower and changed into my night-dress having little pandas ,eating bamboo leaves all over it . Natasha calls this dress childlike but I like it, after all everyone's a kid at heart. I dried my hair and checked my phone. I had a message from Natasha, it said “Hooked up with Rohit, meet u later”. So, that's why she left the party in a hurry, I can never understand her.Just then I remembered I had someone's number. I checked my purse in which I was carrying the tissue paper, but I couldn't find it. Have I lost it? Probably not, I hope not. I searched the whole room but I couldn't find it. I asked my parents if they have seen a paper but they shook thier heads. Just when I was irritated, I found it on my study table. Maybe I was so excited that I kept it on the table and forgot all about it. Okay, now when I have his number, should I call him? No, I don't want to sound eager. Should I text him? Yes, maybe that'll work. So, I texted him. But what should I say? “Hi, I am Tanya, remember?” No, it would seem stupid. “Hey we had a great time today”.“ No that's dumb. Hey young man  what's up” Am I a punk? After having a long argument with my silly brain, I ended up writing

“In that shoreless ocean,at thy silently listening smile my songs would swell in melodies, free as waves, free from all bondage of words

“In that shoreless ocean,
at thy silently listening smile my songs would swell in melodies,
free as waves, free from all bondage of words.” the words of 'Sail away' by Rabindranath Tagore.

Pleased, I did my homework and studied sometime but after maybe 15 minutes the reply came
'Somewhere beyond the sea
She's there watching for me
If I could fly like birds on high
Then straight to her arms
I'd go sailing'
I know it's not a poem but still...”
I wrote“ No worries, still you tried”
“Yeah after all everyonne can't become Shakespeare” he replied.
“I didn't knew you can be funny” I replied.
“Funny” he texted and I laughed. Like this we texted each other all night. The clock ticked by, but we didn't care. The hours passed and night became dawn, dawn became morning. Even the sun stared at us with his golden eyes but we didn't stop. At about 5 a.m he said “ Hey, should I call?”

m he said “ Hey, should I call?”

“Now? it's 5 a.m and in just 3 hours we will meet at college.”
“I just wanted to hear your voice” he replied. “Great thing comes to those who wait” I texted and I could see him smile behind the screen. It's funny as to how life can change in just a moment. One moment I am entering college and the other moment I met a boy who thinks in the same way as I do. There's a quote from John Green that says “Anybody can look at you, it's quite rare to find someone who sees the same world you see.”  and I think I have found that person. Today I learnt that every moment matters, whether it's big or small, one who embraces this truth is the real winner. I texted “Good night, I'll see at the college” “Good night” he replied and I dozed off with a contended mind.
