i'll admit, ive had the biggest crush on amane since we were young. but lately ive been seeing him around with another girl, a lot prettier,, and nicer,,, with slim ankles,,
oh who am i kidding! amane's only friends with me for pity. silly girl, this is what you get for falling in love.
i'll speak to ao-chan for the time being,,
"aoi! heyo! how are you?"
aoi turned around and smiled at me, but then her smile faded, faded quickly. instead she had worry plastered all over her face.
",,nene? it's amane's birthday today, you're usually with him the whole morning,, and plus you don't have a present?"
oh,,? but,, i can't remember it being his birthday today, wasn't it m-may? or,, perhaps december?
"a-ah about that,, i think i forgot,,? its probably because i haven't been feeling the best lately,,"
aoi smiled softly, hugging me for a bit and telling me its okay, and to be more careful and look after myself. i loved aoi, she was so nice to me.
"be more careful, okay nene?"
i nodded and smiled. we held hands and made jokes while walking to our classroom.
ah, but talking about forgetting, i started forgetting things about amane a lot more recently, yet i could remember everything about aoi perfectly.
thankfully, aoi sat next to me in our homeroom, so we talked and joked around the whole time, but still managed to get our work done.
"ahh,, aoi,, im so sleepy,,,"
i whined, resting my head on her shoulder, she giggled and pet my hair, while simultaneously continuing her work.
"sleep for a bit then, i'll wake you up when the lesson ends."
aoi replied softly, so i fell asleep.

"nene? nene, wake up."
i opened my eyes and everyone was packing away to go to break, aoi was beside me, shaking me awake.
"its the end of class! lets go!"
she smiled and i nodded sleepily, packing my things away and once i did we both walked outside.
"ah- yashiro! can i talk to you forba moment?"
amane called out, and i excused myself. i saw the girl he was with in the distance, most likely waiting for him. my heart ached.
"yeah,,?"
he paused, and looked away somewhat sadly and spoke again.
"ah, where were you this morning? you've always remembered when my birthday was and today, you even forgot my favourite food..."
