SUMMARY: deciding to face everything they left behind together, kai parker and mila ramone return to mystic falls with the intention of putting an end to a longstanding feud. although, with an unforgiving alaric, his cursed daughter, and what seems like the entire world standing against them, finding any sort of closure seems impossible.
to make matters worse, it's proven that kai's past isn't the only thing coming back to haunt them when mila's ex-fiancé strolls into town, determined to win her back and remind her what a life without chaos is like. now, mila must decide to fight for someone who may not ever change despite his claims or to leave it all behind to go back to a life where she may never truly be happy.
