»»» song: onerepublic - wherever i go
4th October
Everyone has their secrets. Some small, some big ones. Some banal and random; others again powerful and dark.
And in between those two, there are all the other kinds of secrets you keep to yourself, or share with others. Secrets that can be your own or trusted from others. Friends. Confidantes.Generally, two categories of secrets exist: the ones you choose to keep in and those you simply don't dare letting out.
We were all entitled to have our secrets and the best way to keep a secret was to pretend there wasn't one.
However, some secrets left a burden, you couldn't shake off. Only getting it off your chest, would allow you to breath again. Though, many chose not to breath in order to protect their secret, and sometimes the person behind it.
Because not always did a secret consist of something bad. Sometimes it was just a way to protect the beauty of something. Or someone else's struggles.»»»

"Yes!"
Tally jumped up, clapping her hands with a wide grin plastered all over her face when reading Michael's reply -literally from the other side of the world.
Triumphatically, she stared down at the Kiwi boy next to her then. Calum, on the other side, was unamusedly staring at his phone screen. Switching off the device and throwing it onto the couch he was leaning on.
"That doesn't even make sense! The dick has a dog himself!"
"Aww," Tally cooed, still grinning smugly, "You're a bad loser."
He laughed out hard at this, shaking his head. "Says who? The one who can't deal with losing for shit. Besides.." With a quick move he got up and picked up his phone. The room stuffy, him having a sudden urge for some fresh air after spending the last hours watching a Friends -marathon of the fifth season -their favourite one- and arguing about random things during commercial breaks with her. Just because. Like now.
Something the two tended doing a lot together anyway. It was kind of their thing.
"We should also ask Luke and Ashton. I'm sure they'll agree with me."
She gasped and ran to catch up with him. "No, that's unfair. They'll surely say 'dogs'."
Calum's lips formed a smirk as he looked over his shoulders. "A reason more to ask them."
"But cats are better! I don't say dogs aren't cute and stuff.. but cats are better." She pouted, grabbing his arm in an attempt to stop him. He was obviously stronger though and so he dragged her along outside.
"We'll ask them when they come back."
"They went writing though," she mumbled and let go of his, admittedly, pretty well-shaped arm. And this new tattoo he'd got only a few days ago, was looking great next to his others. Even if the skin underneath it was still a bit sore. "They'll probably take hours to return."With a sigh, she let herself drop on the cold marble edge of the swimming pool. Its lights were already switched on due to the late hour, reflected by the water's surface. Her knees were brought up to her chin, her arms wrapped around them while she glanced at the freckles of light dancing on the surrounding plants.
Even though it was quite late -and not to forget autumn- it was still warm. At least warm enough to sit outside with no thick jacket.
And the longer Tally stayed in this house, the more did it seem like one of those mansions on tv casting shows. It even got its own recording studio downstairs where the guys would sometimes try out some new melodies they'd come up with.It was surely an interesting process the whole song-writing thing. And surely something she'd never be capable of. Not only because the last time she'd touched an instrument was when she accidently bumped into Rina's guitar two months ago. Rather because she wasn't known for being good with words.
Words had just never been enough for her to explain her state of mind. Even back in school and college she despised creative writing. Especially when it was a partner or group task. She preferred doing things on her own.
"You know, I got actually quite respect for how you're able writing lyrics and coming up with the music for them. I could never do that."
Calum arched a brow at her as he took a seat on one of the sun loungers lined around the pool. Folding his arms over his thighs, he bend over and stared ahead silently. "It's just what we love doing, I guess. Otherwise we wouldn't be able doing it at all. Not that we don't suck.. At least the others." He laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners.
Rolling her eyes at his smugness, she also let out a small laugh. "Yeah, right."
"What? Are you intending I'm not a good songwriter?"
"Of course you are. So are the others, though."
He smirked, wiggling his thick brows. "Just because your lover boy is one of the others?"
Tally groaned immediately, her irises almost disappearing by how far back she rolled them. "Will you ever stop calling him my 'lover boy'? It sounds like I'm be a middle-aged woman who's after twenty-year-olds."
"Oh c'mon. That bad? What about-"
"What about you simply call him Luke?"
He thought about it for a second, tapping his index finger on his chin before shaking his head. "Nah, that's boring. I got to annoy you guys at least with something."
"You're just jealous," she said, sticking out her tongue at him. He scoffed. "No, thank you. I already got enough drama wit-" Realising what he was about to say, he quickly pursed his lips stopping mid-sentence.
