In court of Minos Hero kneels
With king he seeks to make a deal.
To take the bull from land of Crete
That creature king of Tyrne may meet.
And Minos bids the hero rise
To look in Tyrants beady eyes.
"The hero seeks no easy feat
To try and tame this monstrous beast
It's runs afoul this lovely land
On grave of many warriors stands.
So go ahead and creature tame
Then hero beast may surely claim
The bull that ruins all my lands
I'll gladly place in heros hand."
And hero sighs in deep relief
That king forbears to give him grief.
He nods to king accepting deal
That king allows the hero steal
The bull that terror wreaks on land
And take the beast to Tyrne to stand
In front of king and labor earn
Then gains from tyrant eighth of turns.
Again he magic ropes does plade
To tie the bull that's strong and mad.
So hero mighty beast may tame
A feat he needs to lay his claim
On creature tearing Crete to ground
With mighty strength that's rarely found
In mortal realm where men now trod
The current home of demi-god.
So godling goes to field in east
That present holds the mighty beast.
And over ridge the bull he spies
In dell where creature soft abides.
And grazes grass that lush and green
For monstrous beast such gentle scene.
Then mighty hero peace does scorn
By throwing lasso round it horns.
Then pulling self to beast he leaps
On top the monsters sinewed heap.
Responding fast the monster bucks
And jerking hard it rolls and ducks.
To free itself from hero's grasp
Whose legs the monster fastly clasped.
For hours hero rode the bull
Till monsters movements grew yet dull.
As sun does sink the monster falls
To ground to answer Somnus call.

And hero drags the bull away
So king of Tyrne may have his say.
