With broken spirit bull does stand
On leash that hero holds in hand.
At gate of Tyrne before the king
The demi-god the beast does bring.

"Behold the Cretan bull I've brought The beast that king of Tyrne has sought! So take this creature forth from hand And let it roam these Tyrnian lands!"

"Behold the Cretan bull I've brought
The beast that king of Tyrne has sought!
So take this creature forth from hand
And let it roam these Tyrnian lands!"

Then grant your servant next of chores
The labors twelve that hero's bore!"
But tyrant king of bulls afraid
Inside his jar again he's laid.

To keep himself from early grave
In hiding spot the tyrant raves.
"Again my labor hero earns
And wrath of gods that man does spurn.

That beast can't live in Tynian lands
For havocs wrought where creature stands!"
And king his servant sends to tell
"Release the bull in foreign dell."

Though king the hero surely hates
He still  won't sentence Tyrne to fate.
Of raging bull that's roams the land
And kills whatever foe may stand.

In way of monster dreadful wrath
By blocking creatures killing path.
So hero nods to king request
Though effort goes beyond the quest.

That hero's gave by gods mount
With granite halls and marble founts.
"I'll leave the bull in distant glade
That's far from cities man have made.

But first I want the seventh turn
That's give by Tyrant lord of Tyrne."
And tyrant says "the mares of Diomededs
That king does use his serfs to feed.

On flesh of many men they've fed
And rendered many hero's dead."
And hero nods to king assent
Then down to Thrace the hero went.
