Chapter 23: The First Duel

Ember's POV

"Hello, Ember," Kyllian said, as he grabbed me and pulled me into another dimension.

I landed with an oof.

Kyllian pulled out his sword. "Any last words?" He asked.

"Yes," I said. "But I'd rather insult you as you're dying."

I threw an Ender Pearl at Kyllian, who countered it with his sword, shattering it.

He started to throw energy balls at me, which I smashed my sword through them, destroying them.

Kyllian vanished into thin air.

Where did he go...

Aha! Classic battle tactic. You'll have to do better to fool me.

I spun around and put blades countered, sparks flying. 

I jumped back, while kicking Kyllian in the face.

Kyllian leaped up into the air, and when he landed the ground shook and  I was pushed away.

I ran towards Kyllian at the same time as he did, and there was a flash of light as one of the swords met it's target.

I opened my eyes to see that my new blade my was in Kyllian's chest. I quickly pulled it out.

Kyllian dropped his sword and it clattered onto the ground.

"After all my years..." he gasped. "I have finally met my destroyer."

Than he collapsed onto the ground, dead.

Suddenly I was sent back to my own dimension.

"What happened there?" Jun asked.

"Kyllian's dead," I said.

"Well done," The Keeper said. "You earned this."

The Keeper gave me a silver Nether Star.

"This relic will allow you to open portals to other worlds," he explained. "I wish you young travelers the best of luck."

"Thank you," I said.

We turned around and departed.

It has been 10,000 years since I met a potential suitor.

And now, I shall claim what's rightfully mine.
