Skylar Lain had another thing coming if he thought he won this one.

Jale with the patience of Buddha stomped through the hallways of Heighston High School. He parted the crowd like Moses did the red sea as he swore today was the day he was going to commit murder. It was a done deal. This was the last straw and if he didn't push his hands down that bastard's throat today, he was no longer Jale Kierson.

Skylar was an asshole, an asshole with a hobby of torturing the fuck out of him. There was never a day where Jale had peace. Skylar had a sadistic agenda towards him and it was time for Jale to make him taste sweet heaven with his fist.

"I'm going to fucking kill you," was the growl that left his lips when the silhouette of Skylar entered his view. Skylar's back was turned and he leaned on the locker. He looked comfortable, almost too relaxed as he chatted up a poor brunette into believing his cherry-picked words.

Jale reached forward and grabbed the unsuspecting boy by his varsity jacket neckline and dragged him. Skylar was by no means light and by no means short but Jale's headache-inducing anger didn't impede the sheer strength it took to slam the boy into the lockers.

It was swift and it silenced the hallway in seconds. A groan of pain erupted from Skylar as he slumped down the metal contraptions. Jale with a snarl continued reaching down to grip Skylar's mop of black hair.

"Fuck, give a guy a warning," he hissed as Jale pulled him up by his hair.

"I'm done giving you warnings," Jale slammed Skylar into the lockers again then drew his left hand into a position of a punch about to be thrown.

"Come on man, I-,"

Jale's arm soared forward and landed on Skylar's face. The crunch was nasty. A feast of knuckles busted Skylar's nose with no mercy. Jale was done with mercy. This wasn't the first time he and this abomination ever fought but it was the first time Jale ever thought about murdering him.

"Fuck you Kierson, couldn't handle your little bitch of a sister-,"

Another punch went straight into Skylar's jaw snapping his head back to bang on the lockers. A cry of blood-curling pain left his lips. Jale dropped him letting Skylar crumble to the floor.

"You little shit," Jale growled. He was about to kick Skylar in the face this time when a whistle rang out stopping Jale's movements.

"Kierson!" came the familiar voice of his coach from a mile away yet it sounded like it was right next to his ears. Jale looked up and spotted the old drunkard shuffling through the students to get to him. Jale's scowl got deeper but he reigned his anger in and settled his leg on the ground.

Skylar survived this one by stray luck. The lucky bastard.

"Fighting Kierson, that's forbidden, and you're fighting the quarterback too!" The coach bellowed when he was in hearing distance. Jale rolled his eyes. He didn't give a damn if Skylar was the beloved quarterback of their failing football team. He deserved no respect from Jale, he never did a damn thing to earn it.

"Boy, look what you did to his face, This looks like you were going to murder him!"  The coach gasped. He caressed Skylar's swelling face. A hiss left the boy's lips but nothing else came out. Skylar looked up at Jale with ice-cold daggers in his eyes.

"You fucking coward, surprise attacks are for losers," Skylar spat out then coughed.

Jale's hands formed a fist and he took a step closer. He wanted to finish the job. The bastard would finally learn to keep his mouthy trap shut if he shoved his fist deep enough. The anger hasn't left Jale, no, it was getting worse as he stared at the battered slumping Skylar on the ground.

"Language!" the old drunkard seethed, "I want an explanation for this and I will be damned before anyone of you get out of this without suspension,"

"I did nothing Mr Walter," Skylar whispered with his face scrunched into a grimace.

"I don't care, you must have done something to get your face turned into a punching bag,"

Mr Walter wrapped his arm around Skylar and hauled him to his feet. He held the boy tight and started moving down the hall towards the nurse. Jale fumed. He wasn't done taking revenge.

Nobody understood how much Skylar was a little shit. Jale knew because from the moment he was 5 until now the bastard never stopped being a pain in his ass.

He remembered clear as day the bastard's face as he tore Jale's Christmas teddy bear to pieces. The stuffings flying everywhere. Jale remembered it in 4k slow motion. The stuffing fell from the sky like snow and the criminal stood in the middle of it all with a sickening grin across his mug and Jale's bear arms hanging limp in his hands.

"What a sissy, only girls play with teddy bears,"

Jale slammed right into the boy with the force of a bull and they skidded across the brown wooden floor of the daycare. Jale remembered the shrill scream that left his lips.

The event went down in history as the first fight of Sunny Brook Daycare staining its reputation forever. That day was the start of his next torturous 13 years of living.

..........

Skylar was nursing a broken nose and a swelling eye as he sat down in the nurse's office alone. He groaned at the pain shooting through his skull. He knew Jale had the temper of a lion and would rip him apart but he still risked it hoping the boy wouldn't come at him and started swinging fists. Apparently, he miscalculated this time and his face suffered the consequences. Still, a grin surfaced on his lips. Served the fucker right. He had no business sleeping with his girlfriend of 3 years like it was nothing then parading around the school like a champ in that jacket he didn't even deserve. It irked the fuck out of Skylar.

The anger bubbling below the surface of his skin was still boiling but it was sated by knowing he had won and Jale lashing out as he did was the trophy he needed. He had gotten under the bastards hardened crocodile skin. He hadn't been able to in years. Jale was easy to rile up and Skylar took pride in that but it went south when Jale started learning from his antics and started taking Revenge. It had crushed Skylar when that started happening.

In fact, he had an existential crisis. Jale Kierson was Skylar Lain's self-proclaimed arch-nemesis from they were young. Skylar was an avid fan of hero and villain stories including the movies. His little child brain conjured up all sort of scenarios but he didn't want to be the hero, no, he didn't like to save, he hated all that righteousness stuff.

He wanted to wreak havoc. He couldn't do that realistically to everyone so he chose someone who was a goodie two shoes at his smothering daycare. Jale Kierson was a fucking angel. The parents loved him. His parents loved him. The teachers loved him. He was the one who had front row seats to cuddles, presents, affection. He had that face of innocence with his baby blue eyes and round plump cheeks.

He was perfect.

Skylar had also miscalculated that. He didn't expect the boy to be a volcano. His little body had suffered the blow then too as a consequence but it strangely fitted his fantasies.

What villain never got their asses kicked by the hero?

Author's note

Thank you for picking up this book! I started writing this on a whim inspired by a goddamn kids movie 😌.

Legos Batman

Guilty as charged but it makes a great base for a story line.

It's pretty obvious whose Joker and whose Batman. 😄
