"Ma'ams, your sons have gone too far,"

The principal pushed his glasses up on his nose while he stared into the eyes of the two mothers in front of him.

Jale stood behind the chair of his mother with an ice pack nursing the bruise on his head. His face was screwed up from the nauseating headache that threatened to rip his head off and all the nurse could have given him was a fucking ice pack.

"Your sons literally have never gone a day without creating an atmosphere of animosity in this school, they have no regard for the rules. They should have been the pride of this school," The principal lifted papers in his hands and handed them to the parents.

His mother with her expensive nail art took the paper like she was touching filth and turned it around towards her. Jale rolled his eyes so hard while watching all of this go down. He had no idea what the principal hoped to achieve. His mother had no time for this. She had no time for his bullshit.

"Is this all the records of the incidents between the two?" The other mother in the room that Jale recognized as Ms Lain. The one and only. She was a well-known reporter, a charismatic anchor. Truthfully, Jale admired her. She was a heck of a woman, it was a pity she had Skylar as a son.

"No, there is a whole file dedicated to the two from the first year of this school Ms Lain," The principal replied folding his hands together.

His mother was quiet while she read over the paper with nonchalance. She leaned back in her seat and crossed her legs. Jale scoffed and pressed the ice pack on his beautiful bruise. Skylar really did a great job on his face. If only Jale could applaud the bastard, right across his. A scowl surfaced on his lips when he remembered those dark mocking eyes, always seeming to know more than he did.

"So these are the most recent ones?" Ms Lain's eyebrows furrowed. Her face contorted further and further as she read the file.

"They attempted to burn each other with acid... Acid?" Gasped Ms Lain.

Jale wanted to step up and tell the whole story but he knew whatever he said wouldn't be good. It was what it looked like. He did almost scorch the hell out of Skylar Lain in chemistry class when he acted up like he always did but the bastard did take the highly concentrated hydrochloric acid and aimed it towards him right after.

"The actual fuck?" Bellowed his mother. She dropped the paper and turned to him.

"You almost suffocated that boy?"

Jale was finally put on the spot and he wasn't surprised it was his mother who was the first to do it. He rolled his eyes and ignored her. He was sure those records had only accounts of him fighting back. There were times where Skylar recepted but that didn't outweigh the times Skylar stood and took it.

And he took it with a smile on his face.

"Answer me Jale Kierson! How could you do this! I didn't grow you like this!" His mother continued while marching up to him. She shoved her red painted nails in the face and grasped his chin. She turned it towards her.

"This wasn't the boy I raised," She whispered. Jale scoffed. She's right. She didn't. She was too busy with her career to give a fuck.

"My son almost got acid thrown on him, he got maimed, beaten, shoved into lockers....my poor baby," Ms. Lain broke down and a sliver of remorse enter his body but it went as fast as it came when he remembered Skylar Lain deserved every fucking thing.

Jale wasn't a fighter nor a cruel person but Skylar Lain made it his life long destiny to bring the worse out of him.

"Not without reason, everything I did was because your son caused it," Jale said ignoring his mother.
