Armin's grandfather had taken care of Armin, Eren, Y/N, and Mikasa during the starvation Wall Rose had during its time. The next two years weren't easy; the government had a solution to the mess: extermination. They decided to send 250,000 men to retake Wall Maria, but only 250 survived, it solved the lot, but Armin's grandpa was dead.
Armin holds on to a hat left behind by his grandfather, crying as he holds it.
Eren: Armin.
Armin sniffs and wipes his tears away.
Eren: Who do you go to at times like this?
Eren looks at Y/N; he lifted his shoulders.
Armin: I used to pray to Gandhi.
Eren: Who's Gandhi?
Armin: The God of War.
There was an awkward silence.
Two years later...
Keith: What is your name, soldier!!!
Armin: Armin Arlert, sir! From Shinganshina District!!!
After two years, Armin, Eren, Y/N, and Mikasa joined the 104th Cadet Corps.
Keith: Why are you here?!
Armin: To help with Humanity's victory against the Titans, sir!
Keith: Great! You can be Titan fodder!!!
Keith walks over to Y/N.
Y/N looks up to Keith Sadies.
Keith: What is your name, soldier!!!
Y/N: Y/N L/N. From Shingashina District.
Keith: Is that so? Why did you join the Cadet Corps?!
Y/N: To retake Wall Maria and join the Scouts!
Keith: Alright.
Y/N was somewhat surprised about Keith's response.
Keith went on to harass the other cadets.
Y/N: Who are you?
Jean: Hello. I am Jean Kirchstein, the most popular cadet in this group.
Y/N: No, you're not.
Jean: Why you...Tch!
Y/N: So what do you want from me?
Jean looks over to the girls sitting nearby; most were giggling.
Jean: I want you to tell me; how do you do it?
Y/N: Do what?
Jean: Get the girls!
Y/N: I don't know; I think you have me mistaken.
Y/N takes a sip of coffee.
Jean: You seriously don't know?
Y/N: About what?
Jean whispers in Y/N's ear.

Jean seems somewhat relieved.

Y/N: I don't know.
Y/N takes another sip of coffee.
