Irecl memory band is a new innovation that aids patients with memory storage impair and I became one of the early test subjects to try it on.

My recollections significantly improved throughout the treatment that I no longer have to rely on Saint being my personal walking reminder on daily basis. Nevertheless, I still carry my journal around, jotting down every crucial detail occurred around me in case if I experienced memory shut down. Because on rare occasions, it did happen.

I'm now capable of having reruns of memories even on events before the incidents. Which means, I'm half-aware of my dark past with Saint, and the loss of my mom.

I'm also aware that making friends isn't Saint's strong suit. So, when he invited Nick, his newfound friend with his wife Zahida as part of his exclusive handpicked guests to our housewarming/Saint-got-promoted party, it's as though they are trophies of his greatest accomplishments brought home.

"Zahida's the one who replaced you at CoSec office after you left. They went to Melinda's wedding last year," Saint recapitulates when he introduces me to the couple. "I'm not really close with Zahida, she's just as stubborn as you. It's Nick that I'm fond of."

"Yeah, Nick gets to call him Saint while I don't," Zahida jests while turns to me. "Just so you know, my estranged dad-in-law's name is also Hussaini. Nick and his dad, however aren't on very good terms."

"I never thought this occasion is an avenue to slag off my father," Nick quips as he joins in.

"Count me out, please!" Saint raises his both hands in surrender and motions Nick to the backyard for their first round of smoke.

"That's how they bonded, through smoking," Zahida grimaces, watching the two men dart off towards the backyard like frolicking schoolboys at a playground.

I giggle at their foolish antics and let Zahida and her three-year old Fatima into the house.

The small gathering attended by just Sabina, Maheera, the couple with their daughter is planned with an intention to appreciate the bond we had. Not much of Saint's new position as Head of Strategy of TWIB and the news of our new landed house at Mont Kiara (since our family is expanding with our second girl, Ileia as the new addition) as they are just excuses to throw a celebration.

Saint mellows down after my injury. He puts on effort to patch up my strained relationship with Maheera after he realised that I need family reconnection to fill that void. He doesn't want to start with Dad, fearing that Dad might repudiate. Maheera however, was at a vulnerable state battling with Hardy on the custody of their son, Arslan. So, she was an easier target to get off the ground.

Saint once again worked on his whistleblowing magic and exposed Hardy for corruption. After the trial, Hardy was found guilty of awarding a project to a friend contractor in return of gratification of accepting RM1.2 million. He was fined RM2.0 million for the offence and was sentenced to a year's imprisonment. This was all over the news.

Saint helped Maheera to get Arslan back and reunited with me. Just like Saint, Maheera also turned cordial. Her failed marriage and Mom's death had brought us closer and I no longer bear any malice on her.

So, that cause for a celebration.
