Chapter Seventeen

I smiled as I locked my car and typed the code to the hype house. I already texted chase that I was outside and he said he'll meet me by the elevator.

As I went inside the famous building, chase was already there on his phone. I cleared my throat and tried to contain my smile at the sight of him.

He looks up and our eyes make contact. He mirrors my smile with his beautiful one. He walks towards me and engulfs me in a hug, without a word. I felt so small with his figure towering over me.

"hi"
I said, my voice muffled because my face was pressed to his shirt.
"hey"
He said, smelling my hair.

"I love that smell"
He said making me smile and my cheeks warm a bit. We pulled back and stood in front of each other
"it's white flowers"
I said and pulled a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"they suits you"
I looked at him confused
"flowers, you're like a flower"
He said with a shrug.

I smiled again and giggled.

Fuck

Did I just giggle?

Ew that's cringy as fuck

Chase didn't seem to mind tho as he gave me his best smile
"wanna go upstairs?"
He asked, offering me his hand. I nodded and took his hand. Chase led the way up to his room.

"you didn't see the trailer?"
Chase asked surprised making me laugh.
"No. I mean, jaden has told me all about the movie and stuff. But then yesterday I saw an edit, of you, on my explore page. So, now I'm curious"
His surprised look turned into a smirk.
"and what exactly are you curious about?"
He said with such confidence which made him look so.. Handsome

I gulped. Please say that again

"the trailer"
I tried to keep my composure
"but you just said the edit was about me"
His smirk widened and his eyes stared at mine. His eyes were just something else. The playfulness and confidence were shining through them making him look dangerous, a good type of dangerous tho.

I stood up quickly from the bed and practically ran to his mini fridge.

"I.. Ughh.. Can I take a soda?"
He burst out laughing. I turned around and glared at him. I watched as he tried to stop laughing but he failed making me cross my arms and narrow my eyes even more.
"you.. You're cute"
He said between the laughter. I bit the inside of my cheeks trying to look stern. The butterflies in my stomach didn't agree tho.

"you're annoying"
He shook his head, finally stopped laughing.
"you can take whatever you want."
I opened his fridge and took a sprite while he started his laptop.

"come on, you're gonna watch it right now"
I shrugged and walked to his desk. He sat on the gaming desk and I stood next to him. I watched as he looked up 'downfalls high' on YouTube. Before he clicked on the trailer he gave me a glance then looked back at the screen. Then he looked at me again.

What is he thinking about?

But then, when he looked at me again, he smiled nervously. He took my hand and started leading me to stand right in front of him.

"is this okay?"
He asked nervously. It took me a while to understand what he's talking about. I kept blinking at him for a minute which made him panic.
"I mean, since there are no more chairs. But it's okay. I'm sorry I asked that. I didn't mean to-"
When I finally got it, I sat on his lap which startled him.

I was feeling brave so I took his face in between my hands and connected our foreheads.
"stop rambling, you idiot, It makes you look adorable and cute"
He was still shocked so he didn't answer. Instead, his eyes traveled from my eyes to my lips and then to my eyes again. I did the same. I wanted to kiss him so bad. But I wanted him to be the one kissing first.
