Chapter Twenty Six

"listen, I wanna be with you okay? But I.."
Chase trailed. I pursed my lips waiting for him to continue.
"I just wanted to keep this private.. For now.. Can we?"
He looked desperate. Like he knows he's saying the wrong thing.

I smiled. Of course he wants to keep things private. After everything happened with charli he's probably scared.

The fact that she'll always be in the way.. This shit hurts.

"I kinda want the same. I mean.. In the internet's eyes you're kinda charli's mans and I'm not really ready to face all the hate. But you didn't have to hesitate like that dude you scared me for sec"
I said the last sentence with a laugh. He laughed as well.
"do you usually dude people on dates?"

"just the special ones"

We ate dinner and people came to collect the food and the table. We were just standing by the back and watching the water. There was really nothing to watch we just enjoyed each other's company.

He stood behind me with his arms circling my waist and I was more than enjoying his hot breath next to my ear as he rested his chin on my shoulder.

"how much out of ten you'd say you can swim?"
He asked out of the blue. I frowned with a confused smile even though he can't see my face.
"like eleven. Why though?"

"because-"
Before I could hear the rest of the sentence I felt myself being pushed into the water. The ice cold water.

I was shocked and choked for a second before surfacing back up. Chase was bending down and holding his stomach as he burst out of laughter.

" fucking really?"
He just kept laughing harder.
"you literally ruined my favorite dress you bitch!"
I was yelling but smiling nevertheless. He looked so good from this angle. He looks good from every fucking angle.

"you gotta give the flower some water"
He said once he stopped laughing mentioning the day when he said I'm like a white flower.
"okay but the shark needs water as well. Jump in"
I said and started taking off my heels. He just shook his head so I threw my heel at him.

"hey! I don't wanna ruin the suit!"
He said making me laugh.
"you just ruined my favorite dress. Be fair"
I said and he shook his head. I threw my other heel at him and it hit his hand.
"Ouch! Really?"
He gave me a look and rubbed the back of his hand.

"jump in!"
I yelled again making him laugh.
"okay fine"
He started taking off his jacket.
"No! I have my dress on! Jump in with the suit"
He just laughed again and shrugged.

He jumped in and I started cheering.
"happy?"
He asked once he resurfaced from the water and shook his head fast, trying to remove the water.
"very"
I said laughing even more.

After that I just layed on the water. It was peaceful. The yacht stopped in a place where there was no ships around so it was only the moon light and the light from the yacht as monster by justin Bieber and shown Mendes played in the background.

I smiled as I felt his hands on my back but suddenly, they became in my stomach and pushed me down. I'm a pretty good swimmer so it didn't take me long to get over the shock and hold my breath. I resurfaced back up and glared at him.

"fuck, you're hot"
My hands traveled to my mouth faster than I could say fuck. I can't believe I just said that. Where did that even come from? Chase laughed and shook his head at me.

"coming from you? I'm honored"
He said with a smirk which made me roll my eyes.
"shut up"
I said with a smile.

We kept swimming and playing in the water for a while. I think it's been like two hours. His smile just sends me somewhere else. I never thought I could fall that hard for someone

The way his black clothes stick to his body. The way his black hair stick to his face. And his eyes. Oh my God. I don't think I can ever get over his greenish blue eyes.

After playing in the water, we starting getting tired and cold so we decided to go back on the yacht.

"damn"
I said shivering. I just could get rid of the smile on my face.
"I would give you my jacket but it's wet as fuck."
We both laughed

A minute later, a middle aged woman in all white uniform came to us holding two blankets.
"would you like to shower first? Or would you just like the blanket?"
She asked us and I looked at chase. He shrugged.
"there is warm water, right?"
I asked the lady, whatever her name is.
"of course, miss"
I nodded.
"okay then, we'll go shower"
She nodded and left us.

"you know I didn't bring any clothes right?"
Chase said making me laugh.
"that should be fun, I'm sure we can find something"

"I don't like the sound of this"

"really?"
Chase asked and I burst out laughing. He had only my pajama pants on him but they were so short considering I'm five two and he's like six one or something.

Chase rolled his eyes. He tried to look unamused but it's obvious he was trying hard not to smile.

"you look pretty cute if you ask me. But I think we can find something in my dad's closet."
I got up and left the room. As I walked to my dad's room, I was thinking.

I don't know if that'd be a good idea but I really want chase to start getting along with the boys. They did agree to accept and respect my relationship with him but they didn't really make any effort to fix the bond between them and chase. I understand that they're hurt by his actions but he changed. Yes, he did them dirty that day when he exposed them but he was hurt, scared, sad, and overwhelmed. And it's been so much time.

If they can't accept my relationship with Chase, I don't even wanna imagine if it gets public somehow.

I also miss Josh so much. The motherfucker hurt me and took it too far but he's still the same Josh who stood up for me countless times on different occasions. He's the same Josh who awkwardly watched me crying and heartbroken and tried to not be helpless so he bought me drinks. He's the same Josh who would tell me to just let go and have fun. He's the same Josh who'd always been there no matter what. He's the same Josh who almost cried to me every time he doesn't know what to do to impress nessa. He's the same Josh who cried to me when nessa kissed Chase. He felt so not enough and insecure at the time.

He fucked up but I understand. I wanna fix things with him.

I got some black sweats and a black shirt from my dad's closet and went back to chase. I chuckled when I saw him again. He looked cute in my pj's.
"I mean.. You don't have to change"
I said and he just shook his head with a smile and went into the bathroom.

"it's the toxic musculinity for me!"
I yelled laughing as I  threw myself on the bed.
"they're small!"
He yelled back defensively which made me laugh more. I was in Marie's gray hoodie and black booty shorts.

I scrolled through my phone for a while till he came out of the bathroom. My dad likes his clothes a little tight so they fit chase since he usually wears baggy clothes.

He threw himself on the bed next to me and we both smiled. I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed back. It was sweet and very calm.

I fucking love every second I spend with this man.

"do you wanna watch a movie?"
He asked as we pulled away just a little. I smiled and nodded my head.
