Soobin had slowly regained his consciousness as he slowly opened his eyes. He gathered in his surroundings, finally coming to the realization that he was lying in a hospital bed. He read the clock that was hung on the wall in front of him. It was midnight.
I've been here for 6 hours? Jesus.
He was snapped out of his thoughts as the nurse, who he assumed was taking care of him, had walked in.
"Ah, I see you're awake. How are you feeling?"
Soobin let his back rest against the hospital bed, "My head is in excruciating pain"
The nurse nodded and wrote something down on her clipboard. Soobin took the chance to look at her name tag that read 'Lee Chaeryoung'
Since she was a nurse, he didn't want to be disrespectful so he settled on calling her Ms. Lee.
"I'll be back with some medicine, sit tight." Ms. Lee simply stated before heading out of the room and into the deep halls of the hospital.
Soobin decided to get comfortable in the bed, as he knew he wouldn't be leaving for awhile. As he was getting comfortable, he noticed a presence in the room. He turned to the chair in the corner of the room, where Yeonjun was fast asleep.
Soobin flinched as he finally acknowledged the second person in the room. Jesus, how long has he been here? Soobin thought to himself.
He took this chance to finally get a good look at the other male without either one of them panicking.
Yeonjun was sat in the not-so-comfortable hospital chair with his legs spread and his head to the side. His hair was in a small, messy ponytail as his eyes were shut closed. His hands were gripped onto his jacket. The only sound being heard from him was the occasional soft snore that escaped his lips.
Yeonjun shifted in his seat as if on cue and fluttered his eyes open.
"Hey," he yawned and rubbed his eyes, "How are you feeling?"
Soobin was slowly growing irritated with this question. He laid his head back and shut his eyes to avoid the colors magically appearing once again. He picked up on the fact that the colors only appeared when making eye contact.
Wait, why didn't they appear while I was talking with the nurse?
Soobin shook his head softly to rid his thoughts, soft enough to not upset the pain that was cruising through his head.
"I'm fine, what are you doing here?"
"Just wanted to make sure you were okay.. We were the only two in sight on campus, would've been suspicious if I had just left you there" Yeonjun spoke with a shrug.
Soobin scoffed a bit too aggressively as he forgot about his cruel headache.
"So you're colorblind?" Yeonjun spoke up again after a few moments of silence.
Soobin nodded without opening his eyes, "How did you know?"
"The nurse spoke too much about your file," Yeonjun shrugged once again before chuckling, "She must be new"
Soobin laughed softly at his statement before speaking up again, "yep, everything's black and white" he stated popping the 'P' in a dramatic manor.
Yeonjun furrowed his eyebrows as he looked over Soobins face, "How do you know my hair is pink?"
Soobin simply shrugged in response, not wanting to get deep into the subject before he even knew what was going on.
"You're a weird one" Yeonjun chuckled again in an attempt to suppress how weird the situation is.
Luckily, the nurse had walked back in with Soobins medicine before Yeonjun could ask any further questions.
The nurse stated that Soobin could be released from the hospital first thing in the morning. He was more than ecstatic to make it back to his cramped dorm room.
Thank god.
