Lucien's POV

After Scarlett told me about her past I was fucking pissed.Not in anyway directed at her but the fact that society was so fucked up that this type of shit happens.Who knows maybe I'll pay a visit the Boston prison...

I was now steadying Scarlett's hands around the gun and pressed my front into her back.

"Lucien now is not the time to be getting horny,"she scolded and I chuckled and stepped aside and put the ear muffs on her ears as well as mine.I told her to aim and she took a shot.And three more.

The body shots came forward and I took her hand and led her to it.She was a fucking natural.She had one head shot,one in the chest and the other two were in the abdomen.

"Great job,princess,"I praised her and pressed a kiss to her temple.She wrapped her arms around my torso and buried her head in my chest.

"Lucien I'm petrified to lose my mother.What if they're going to kill her.Even worse,if they do it infront of me,"she said and I sighed.Not knowing what to do.She was absolutely right.I never intended to drag her into this life.But now I wasn't ready to let her go.I'm a selfish bastard but I simply can't bear to lose her.

"I'm sorry princess.I will do everything in my power to get you two out unscathed,"I made an unspoken promise.

I embraced her and layed my head on hers.We stood like that for about ten minutes before she pulled back and sighed.

"We have one more training session to go through then we can head home,"I have never called the estate home but with Scarlett it just feels right.

"Okay,"she said and I helped her into the secluded part of the building.

"After several of my men were abducted and killed by numerous rivals,we took it as priority to ensure that they could escape.Therefore I am going to teach you techniques how you can escape,"I said and she nodded.

"Why am I so well adjusted to this kind of lifestyle?"Scarlett thought out loud and rubbed her pink cheeks from the harsh weather.

"It's what baffles me too,"I said slightly amused by the fact that she was so bewildered.I told her to take a seat on a wooden chair and I tied her up firstly with a thin type of rope.

"If you are tied to a wooden chair you would want to land on your back on the floor to break the chair.That will automatically loosen the ropes around you and you can plan to get the fuck out,"I said and pushed her back gently to the floor after I placed a pillow down to protect her head.She crashed to the floor with the chair and just like predicted,the wood planks broke and the ripes loosened.She stood up and I tied zip ties around her wrists.

"Okay these little shits are tricky even more so when you are in panick.Okay so now you would want to put a little pressure on the zip ties.Turn sideways and slam your wrists down onto your hipbone where the ties meet,"I instructed,meanwhile doing the steps with her after also putting some on.

She did it and the zip toes snapped loose and she sighed in relief.

"You really are a natural,"I mutter and she just smiles slightly.

"When your kidnapper or abducter looks like they are going to harm you,you have to make up conversation to stall time and probably change their minds,"I told her and she nodded.

"This is alot to learn but once we get there I'm sure I won't regret it.So,thank you for being so cautious about my safety and need to protect me,Lucien,"she said and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Oh,princess.I'd do this and so much more for you,"I pressed a kiss to her temple and then pecked her lips and directed us to the exit of the building.

"Everything's gonna be alright,"I whispered in her ear as I saw her eyes fill with sorrow.
