Rosaline

Cries came out of Nicholas's parents' mouths as they ran to Claire. I held Nicholas up as he staggered back from shock. Even I was shocked.

"She's awake!" I shouted in happiness.

Nicholas nodded his head, still in a trance. He broke out of it when they walked up to him, the guests quietly walking to the backyard to give us space.

"Should I leave?" I asked him, I didn't want to intrude and stand there awkwardly.

"No, stay. I want you to meet her. You're basically family now, " he whispered to me, holding my hand.

I licked my lips from being nervous as the three figures walked up to us. I could see the excitement and happiness in his sister's face as she looked at him.

"Nicholas!"

That one word was enough to stop making Nicholas freeze like a statue as he ran to her and hugged her. I smiled as they all hugged each other. Tears on their face from the miracle that happened tonight.

When they finally parted they walked over to me and introduced me to her. I was happy to know that she was glad that Nicholas was dating me. I instantly knew I would enjoy hanging out with Claire. She radiates happiness even though she woke up not too long ago.

"I can't believe this is real, " Nicholas mumbled.

I looked at him and smile, "me either. But I'm glad that this is real."

"Me too."

After that, the party was over since his parents wanted to catch up with Claire. We also decided to stay here for the night since Nicholas wanted to catch up with her as well. I didn't mind since I wanted him to catch up with all the moments they missed. Besides, I was feeling tired.

"Goodnight, " I told Nicholas as I pecked his cheek.

He smiled and said, "goodnight. I'll come back shortly."

I shook my head, "no. Take your time. I'll be deep asleep."

He hesitated but agreed when I convinced him. He left and I went to bed with a smile on my face.

"Wakey wakey!"

I groan, shielding my eyes from the sun as I blinked my eyes. In front of me was Claire who had a large smile on her face. I was taken aback and jump a little, fully awake now.

"Good morning? Where's Nicholas?"

"He went to work. There was an emergency and he didn't want to wake you up so he told me to tell you that, " she told me.

I made an o with my mouth as I nodded my head, "well um. Do you want to hang out today?"

Her eyes widen in delight, "yes! That's why I went in here-oh. I should let you get ready first? Right? Hehe."

I smiled at her adorableness. She was the same age as me but act so much younger. I admired how carefree she is, even what happened to her. I'm surprised she's chirpy after waking up from a coma, I know I will be confused and tired if I woke up.

She got up and left to let me get ready. When I went inside the bathroom I saw a pair of my clothes with a sticky note on top.

Not sure if you like wearing this shirt with this skirt, but I hope you don't mind. Something important came up, I'm sorry I'm not the first face you see today. But don't worry, I'll make it up to you. <3

My day just started but I already was feeling so loved and happy. I placed the sticky note to the side and then got ready, not wanting Claire to wait too long.

"All my clothes are a bit small now. I need to buy new clothes, " Claire told me as she walks to a store with her hand locked with mine.

"What type of clothes do you normally wear?" I asked her, trying to help her find some clothes.

"Hm. Anything cozy or baggy. I'm not really into fashion clothes unless I'm going somewhere."

We may have just gotten to know each other but the bond that was forming was expanding the more we hanged out. It was like we clicked the moment we talked to each other. I was happy that I finally have a friend I could talk to.

"O! Look at this, matching sets of hoodies! We should buy this and match!" She said enthusiastically, pulling out hoodies with a matching design.

"Yes! And maybe with these beanies?" I said showing her a beanie I found from the stack.

She nodded her head in agreement. Outfit number one found.

After checking out from that store, we giggled at a joke I made as we walked out of the store with a few bags in our hands. We decided to stop for a quick lunch since neither of us ate yet. We were walking to the food cart when I accidentally bump into someone.

"Ouch."

I rubbed my head while Claire turns me to her so she could see my face.

"Are you okay?"

I nodded my head and looked back to apologize to the person only to gasp in shock.

"Chad?"

"Rosaline?"

Oh no. Not again.
