Splash

The cold refreshing feeling of the water cools down my feet from the blazing sun that was cooking us alive. I smiled as I bent down and wiggled my hand in the water.

I let out a gasp when I was picked up and thrown over someone's shoulder.

"Nicholas!" I shriek out, pounding my fist against his back.

He laughed at me but didn't let go of me. My eyes widen in horror when I notice that he was walking towards the ocean.

"Nicholas! Stop! No no n-" my protest was cut off by the feeling of water surrounding me. I swam up and gasp for air glaring at Nicholas who was laughing at me.

I frown at the salt taste in my mouth as I pouted at Nicholas. He swam over to me and hugged me.

"Sorry, rose, but I had to, " he said after sobering up, "Enjoying your vacation?"

I nodded my head. Two days ago, Nicholas popped the idea of a family vacation. I thought it was strange of the sudden idea but when he mentions the beach I agreed happily.

We have grown even closer after his birthday. It was like a wall was released from both of us. We were beginning to be inseparable, not that I minded.

"I'm glad, " he whispered to me as he circles us around in the ocean.

"Stop showing off your affection for each other. The fishes are running away in fear!" Noah shouted at us.

I pulled away and laughed at my brother's comment.

"Look who's talking!"

He was holding onto Annie, in a very unfriendly way. He glared at me and went back to staring at his Annie.

"Don't mind him, he's just jealous that he can't show his affection to Annie as I can with you, " Nicholas said as he rewrapped his arms around me. He caged me to his chest and dumped us underwater.

I opened my eyes and stared at him underwater as he stared back at me. His blue eyes glowing under the water, making the blue color of the ocean dull compared to his eyes.

He was beautiful.

"My diamond bracelet!"

We all stood there watching two strangers arguing about a bracelet or something like that.  One look distressed while the other look irritated.

"Kim, there's people dying."

"I'm not Kim, Robert!"

"Should we help or just walk away?" Noah whispered to us.

"Help, I guess. She looks like she is about to pass out if she doesn't find her diamond bracelet, " Claire said as she stared at the two figures.

So we decided to help. We separate and looked around for a bracelet. I didn't see anything in my section and it doesn't seem like the others saw anything either. That was until Nicholas came up from underwater and lift a diamond bracelet.

"Oh my gosh!!!! Thank you handsome!" I frowned at a word she said as she snatched her bracelet from Nicholas's hand.

"Well dang. Maybe I should have just left it there, " Nicholas said when he walked back to us.

We laughed at him before walking back to where we were supposed to go before helping the stranger out.

"Get ready guys. We have a very special reservation tonight, " Claire said, wiggling her eyebrows at us.

I raised an eyebrow at her but she didn't say anything. She just smiled at me. Okay?

I went and shower then got ready. When I was done Nicholas was already waiting for me outside the room. He smiled at me and pecked my forehead as he laced his fingers with mine.

"What's so special about tonight's dinner?" I asked Nicholas as we walked to the place we planned to eat at.

"I'm not sure, " he said without looking at me.

I mumbled an 'okay.' We continued walking until we arrived at an opened-roof restaurant. I gasped at how beautiful it looked, with the fairy lights around the wooden building. To the side was a deck that faced the ocean, you could see the little fishes swimming around in the clear water. Everything looks so unreal, especially the night sky. No clouds visible, just the stars shimmering and decorating the black sky.

"Wow, " I said out loud.

I didn't notice when I let go of Nicholas's hand but I did as I continued exploring the place. I was lost in my little adventure until Nicholas came and bring me to the table we were dining in.

"Cheers to a wonderful day!" We all lifted our glass and cheered.

Besides the beautiful restaurant, the food was also plated beautifully and tasted delicious. It went well with all the side dishes. I chewed on my food as Nicholas kept placing food on my plate. I complained to him but he just told me that he was just "taking care of my little rose."

We talked and laughed as we ate until we finished most of the food. The rest was put in a take-out box. I leaned back and groan from the fullness of the food. My stomach was bloated making me feel like I was pregnant when I only have a food baby.

I licked my lips taking a sip of my water before letting out a sigh. I wish I can stay here forever.

I closed my eyes but opened them again when I heard a gasp in front of me. I looked at Claire fake shocking over something. I furrowed my eyes and look at where she was pointing.

"Oh my gosh-"
