Rosaline
"It was nice having you two for dinner. Please come visit more often, " his mother said as both of his parents bid us goodnight.
I lifted my body with my toes and whispered to Nicholas' ear, "don't ever bring me back if it includes you."
I saw him rolled his eyes before whispering back to me while keeping a smile on his face, "don't worry. I'm definitely not bringing you here again. Or anyone else."
We both forced a smile and let out a laugh then look at these parents that were smiling at us.
After what felt like an eternity we left their house and finally arrive back at the mansion. My mind suddenly remembered that I been living here for a month when I remember seeing the date. My mouth dropped realizing I need to leave soon. I can't stay at someone's house forever. Especially not empty-handed.
"Nicholas, " I called out to him before he could walk inside. He stopped and look back at me.
"What?"
I entangle my fingers together and look at him.
"How do I repay you?"
His eyes widen and he quickly rushed over to my side. He lifts his hand and placed it on my forehead, he was about to do it again before I swap it away.
"What are you doing?" I asked him.
"You just ask how do you repay me. Did my mom put some sort of potion in your food, " he asked me while eyeing me with narrow eyes.
I shook my head, "that's not the reason. I just realized I have been staying here for free for too long. I can't just stay here without giving you anything. That's not fair. Although you are annoying I still got to play fair."
He nodded his head, "you're so right."
My head snaps up and I look at him with wide eyes, "what."
He grabbed my hand and drag us both inside the house before standing in front of me, "now on, you make me breakfast, feed the dogs-" I nearly died at that part. Not the dogs, "eat dinner with me and make sure to keep my room clean. Clear?"
I let out a sigh, "crystal clear, " I already regret saying anything. Should have stayed quiet and stay here rent-free.
I frown as a wicked smiled appeared on his face.
"Good, I want you to start at exactly 6:30 in the morning."
My eyes bulk out of my eye-socket. I was finally beginning to get used to sleeping in, but now I had to wake up earlier.
"B-but-"
He did the unexpected and peck my cheeks making me stop at what I was about to say. I froze, holding onto my cheek as I stare at him. He had a sly smile on his face.
"I'll see you tomorrow up and early, bella."
He flicks his tie and walks away from me with his hands in his pocket. I mentally snarl at him as I stare at the tone back of his.
"Disgusting shit, " I mumbled to myself, wiping his peck off of my cheek.
Walking out of the bathroom, freshly showered and clean I walk over to my bed and plop down. My legs dangling on the side as I lean over a bit. I frown looking at the clock next to me and groan.
"Whatever."
I threw the cover over me and decided to sleep in. Even if it means I'm taking back my words of repaying him. I'll find another way.

I sat straight up and gasp as I open my eyes shivering as a wet strand of hairs fell on my eye. I look up and saw Nicholas grinning at me, holding a bucket in his hands.
"I knew you would sleep in."
My lips curl inwards as I narrowed my eyes at him. We both had an eye contest, his amused eye staring at my burning ones.
"Get up."
"What?" I asked breaking away from his stare.
"You forgot? You have to make breakfast for me and do other stuff. Remember the words 'repay me'?"
He checked his watch then showed it to me. It read 7:00.
I groan, flicking the wet hair away from my face. I gave him one more glare before rushing into the bathroom before I catch a cold. I heard his deep laughter rumbling through the walls as I shut the door.
That son of a gun.
Nicholas rests his chin on the palm of his hands and watches me with eyes that shine with amusement. I gave him the stank face and went back to cooking his breakfast. The only breakfast I could make was an egg in the middle of toasted butter bread. I used to cook this for myself every-time there was no fun but bread and eggs.
I turn off the stove and place the plate in front of him. He eyes it for a bit then picks up the toast and takes a bite. His eyes slightly open a little bit wider as he looks at the toast in front of him. I mentally hope he hated me so that I didn't have to make him any more breakfasts.
"This is good!"
"I-" wow, "um, duh! It's should be good."
I plaster a fake smile on my face as he continues eating, not letting a single piece untouched. He stopped eating midway and look up at me.
"How did yo-" Before he could finish his sentence a man barge into the kitchen. His face pale and his breathing was uneven. He held onto the door in a tight grip, making both Nicholas and I weary.
Nicholas quickly drops the toast and walk up to him.
"What's wrong?"
The man pointed outside. He gulps before he said something I was not supposed to experience ever in my life.
"We're under attack!"
