"Where is she?"
The figure stood in front of the small petrified woman as he asks her a question in a stern voice. You could tell he was losing his patience the longer the woman in front of him kept quiet.
"I ask where is she!" He roared out when the woman still didn't say anything.
This time she replied, but with a heavy and fearful voice, "s-she ran...a-away...."
"AHHHH!"
A scream filled the air as the man throw the nearest thing at the ground. His breathing was heavy and irregular as he felt his anger rolling out of his body. Slowly, he raised his head at her, looking at her with narrowed eyes.
"You let our daughter run away!?" He screamed at her. He grabbed her throat and shake her body while she gasps for air, "what did I order you to do for the past decades!?"
The woman let out a gasp while digging her nails into his arms to loosen his grip on her neck. But his hold was still hard as metal.
"I-I..." gasp.
The man let go of her and let her body hit the couch. She laid on the ground, bowing her head as the man pace across the living room.
He turned around and glare at the woman he used to be in love with and let out a small snarl, "if you don't bring her back here by next month, I'm letting Damien get you. And this time I'm not helping you."
Without sparing her another glance he walked out of the building, leaving the woman crying and fearing for her life.

Nicholas
"Don't you ever thought of settling down and having a relationship with someone?"
I let out a sigh and rubbed my temple as I listen to my mom.
"Mom. I'm not ready yet." I said, hoping it would change her mind. Sadly it didn't. Instead, it just made her keep throwing questions at me like it would make me talk.
"Why, though? There are plenty of fishes in the sea, " she remarked.
Suddenly the door opened and Jeremy walked in with a purse in his arms while swinging his hips. I held in a laugh at the sight.
"Ma'am it's because he's dating me. Sorry, mother in law, " he said, smiling as he wrapped his arms around me.
All the laughter inside of me left my body as I sat there with wide eyes. But my mother's eyes were even wider than mine. She had a hand over her mouth as she looks at me then Jeremy then me again. She pointed a finger at us like it would help her absorb everything in. Meanwhile, I was still shocked.
"Wait, r-really?" My mom said after a long silence.
I could feel Jeremy give her a cheeky smile as he rested his head on top of mine. I shivered in disgust while my mom thought it was from...whatever she was thinking.
"Yes, mother. It's true, he was just too scared to tell you he was gay." Jeremy answered, leaning too close for my liking.
Was he acting to help me out or is he serious?!
I was beginning to feel hot and the air was beginning to not be as relaxing as it was before. I pulled on my tie and let out a nervous cough while shaking Jeremy's arms away from my shoulder.
"W-wow. I-I....just wow!" My mother said, still blinking a couple of times to registered what was going on. I forced a smile on my face and gave Jeremy a small quick snarl before looking at my mom again.
"Mom. Didn't you say you need to get something for dad before..." I check the clock, "4?"
She stood up and let out an o sound.
"You're right. Well um, it was nice knowing that you are not single Nicholas, but" she leans close to my ear to the point Jeremy couldn't hear anything, "if you realized you are not gay tell me and I'll help you out. Okay?"
I let out a fake laugh and shoo her to the door after I gave her a peck on the cheek. She waved goodbye before rushing out of the house. I could already tell she's going to gossip about this.
I slam the door shut and turn to Jeremy with a raised eyebrows. He shook the jacket off of him and fell onto the chair.
"Oh my gosh. Do you know how embarrassing that was? Gosh, I thought I was going to have to end up marrying a guy, " he whined.
I frowned at him and grabbed his collar, " seems like you were enjoying yourself, so shut up and never do that again. Even if my mom is trying to make me marry a spider."
I let go of his collar and shoved him back while opening a wipe and cleaning my hand and clothes.
"Whatever just happened earlier just scarred me to life, so you better get your ass out of here for a whole week," I ordered him after I threw away the wipe.
He looked me up and down then turn around to leave the room.
"Ungrateful bast**d"
I scrunched up my face and threw the box of wiped at the half-closed door.
"Why you little-" click
I let out a sigh and calm myself before I break down the door and chase after the person that just scarred me to life. I fell back on my chair and groan while looking straight at the ceiling. Just when I was about to close my eyes and relax my phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out and click on the notification.
Mom:
your dad wants to meet your boyfriend. Make sure to bring him with you for tomorrow's family dinner."Ahh- sh"
I threw my phone against the room and run my hand through my hair. What am I going to do? I am not bringing him with me. The look of him disgusts me now, plus he needs to stay here in case something happens.
"Nicholas, I where's your laundry room-"
I look up at saw Rosaline looking at me with a basket of clothes. And that a lightbulb flashed on top of my head.
"Rosaline, " I said.
"Yes?"
I made an upside-down v with my hands and rested them in front of me.
"Are you available tomorrow night?"
