August

"You gotta say it!"

"I'm not calling you that. Find something else." She followed her arms.

"Nah Misty. We agreed that if you lost, you was gonna be calling me Big Daddy August for the next three hours."

"Well I guess I won't be speaking to you at all for the next three hours." She huffed.

"Well fine then." I shrugged.

Taking my phone from my pocket, I decided to check out what was going on in social media world.

Misty and I been together three months now and honestly I was happy. We've been spotted here and there in both New York and Atlanta and speculations have been floating around but we just ignored it.

"What time is your soundcheck for?"

Not responding, I heard her let out a sigh.

"Big Daddy August." She called through her teeth annoyed.

"Yes baybeh?" I smirked.

"What time is your soundcheck for?"

"Three."

"Okay so what do you want to do till then?"

"You." I smirked.

Hearing silence, I looked up at her. Since being together, the topic of sex never came up. I would make little jokes here and there but she either ignored it or just laughed it off.

"Sweet face?"

"Mmm?" She kept her eyes on the tv.

"I'm not tryna rush you into that aspect of relationship aight."

"I know." She nodded.

"Okay because Ion want ya thinking that's all I'm looking for."

"I know its not." She gave me her attention but."

"But what?"

"I know you have your needs and I'm honestly not."

"Whoa, Misty hold on." I stopped her. "I know how to control my needs ma. Sex ain't everything to me. I say what I say so you would know that I am all in whether were are on that level or not just yet."

"Okay cool."

"Yeah. I don't want you to think otherwise."

"Got it."

"Good. Now come here!"

Pulling her onto me, I began to tickle her.

"Aug stop." She laughed.

"Nah, I love hearing that laugh."

Finally letting up, she just laid there looking up at me.

"Why are you staring at me?" She asked.

"You're beautiful." I gently brushed her cheek.

As she smiled, I was about to speak when I was interrupted by her grandmother.

"A way with words." She said as she walked to the kitchen.

Shaking my head, I just ignored her.

"Wazzamin maw?"

"Nothing much. How you been?"

Looking down Misty as she began to fall asleep, I just smiled.

"Blessed."

"Is that right?"

"Mhmm. God done sent me an angel in disguise." I caressed her cheek.

Looking up, she took her time and came over to sit in the other chair.
