The Fixer by Brent Moran

It's a sad song fic~ Please enjoy.

Jagged Stone, a famous Rock Star with the world at his feet was playing a song he wrote especially for a girl who he held in his heart, a girl he would do anything to protect, but a girl he couldn't protect from herself.

"This is a song for a girl I once knew, She loved to love, but hated herself. My dearest regards for the beloved child, may she rest in piece" he said before he began the slow melody on the piano.

"She's a fixer with no one to fix her
She's a lover who won't love herself
She's a heartbreak away from a horrible place
'Cause fixers never fix themselves
"

Marinette Dupain-Cheng, the girl who sacrificed her own well being for those around her. She loved to love, but never had the time to love herself. A happy girl, who would give the world for the happiness of her friends.

"She's a fighter with no one beside her
In a corner alone on the ropes
She's a let down away from a terrible place
She'll fix every scar but her own

Oh, she fixes the lonely, fixes the broke
But tends to forget who needs fixin' the most
Buried in bandages, hiding the hell
'Cause fixers never fix themselves
"

She fought against the Akuma's, hoping, just hoping she could save her friends from the pain that would come when she couldn't beat the Akuma's. She'd fight for them 'till her heart stops beating. She takes their broken dreams and mends them, hooks 'em up with someone who could help them fulfill their dreams. Spending her free time with those who need a friend, taking the time to lift the spirts of those who hate themselves. Hiding her pains, covering them up, so she could keep on helping.

"She's a liar, a calm to the fire
Shamed when we all follow suit
She's a whisper away from a dangerous place
'Cause lies aren't a fix for the truth

Oh, she fixes the lonely, fixes the broke
But tends to forget who need fixin' the most
Packed with prescriptions, disguisin' the hell
'Cause fixers never fix themselves
"

Lying to them all, telling them she'd fine, all so she could keep on helping, all so they wouldn't worry, all for them. A few wrong words could send her spiraling downward, but she wouldn't let them know it. A few drugs to keep her smiling and they'd be none the wiser.

"She's a handful
A whole lot to handle
But worth every thorn in my side

She's a sunset away from the darkest of days
No fix for the fixer tonight
She's a sunset away from the darkest of days
No fix for the fixer tonight
"

It was a pain to try and help her when she kept her face up so perfectly, but it was worth it, for all her selflessness, she actually took the time to care. It only took a sunset for her to crumble and give in, it only took a few misplaced words, it only took a broken heart she couldn't fix, it only took a lonely girl who wasn't lonely, it only took a scar she couldn't heal.
